WORK AT EDGECLIFFE APARTMENTS
Work commenced late 2021 and due to delays has carried over into the new year as per below:
Work is well underway on the western wall (carpark side). The South Western corner of the building was significantly impacted and has under gone some major repairs and reinforcement. At present scaffolding is across only the southern half of the western wall (above the garage door) – access to the garage is NOT affected. From time to time BOSS may close off the driveway for brief periods to clear any debris.
There is a small amount of work to also be completed on the roof. It is expected all work will be completed and scaffolding removed by the end of January.
The contractors are conscious of guests and are doing their best to minimise disruptions whenever possible....

Great view - that's all.
There are many units with spectacular views in Caloundra. This unit is dated and not worth the money.
If you want to soak up the view or catch a breeze from the main bedroom, be aware that there is no key for the plunger style door lock. Notifying the agent upon our arrival of this problem, we were told they would contact the owner. For the next seven sleeps we heard from neither agent nor owner. Not good customer service here. (HINT: BYO phillips screwdriver.)
It has the worst driveway to an underground carpark we have ever experienced. It is so steep that it is a challenge to get out without spinning your wheels. Any rain about - forget it! The gate is not high and we saw more than one 4WD owner park on the road. Not undercover or secure is it?
The outdoor couch shown in the promo pic here is a sponge for water and unusable for several days after rain. The hinges holding the seat to the backrest have rusted away, meaning the backrest is loose and only supported by the unit's exterior wall.
The blue plastic outdoor chairs are uncomfortable and the legs splay out when you sit down. One looked UV damaged and was not safe to use. There is no small dining table or the like outside either, so morning/afternoon tea with a view is impossible.
Inside the dining table is small and has wheels. Even with the wheels locked, eating was always a 'moving' experience. Pity synchronised eating and arising is not an Olympic sport!
Bathroom is dated and dark with a temperamental shower, while the kitchen is going through an identity crisis and could do with a dishwasher to help bring it up to standard.
Not sure why masking tape was used to cover some light switches, but hope there is no wiring issues.
We have holidayed at Caloundra for over 40 years and would certainly not holiday in this unit again.
