Complete with Jacuzzi tub and native stone fireplace, Dream Away Cabin is guaranteed to create life long memories … The cabin is made to the highest standards with real exposed cedar beams throughout. ...Dream Away Cabin is a new, luxurious cedar log cabin located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This is an ideal vacation getaway for families or for that romantic retreat anytime of the year. Complete with Jacuzzi tub and native stone fireplace, Dream Away Cabin is guaranteed to create life long memories … The cabin is made to the highest standards with real exposed cedar beams throughout. The large wood-burning fireplace is perfect for those chilly Fall/Winter nights. It is constructed from local limestone and is a signature feature of the cabin. An antique chest in the living area holds a large selection of board games and toys for the kids. The cabin is furnished with high-end log furniture including a cedar log dining set in the large private screened-in rear porch - the perfect place for al-fresco dining. The master bedroom has a custom queen log bed with an en-suite bathroom and the second bedroom has a log bunk bed with a full over a queen in a very spacious configuration. Since the property is located in the up and coming Hill Country wine-growing region, one part of the cabin has been accented with elegant winery accessories and information is provided on some of the best winery tours in the area. We do however recognize the need for some twenty first century comforts so we offer free high-speed wi-fi and a large 52' high-definition TV with free access to Netflix for all guests. The property also provides ample parking space if you are considering bringing your own boat. We have taken great care to find an outstanding maid service that ensures the cabin is cleaned to the highest standards ahead of your arrival. Dream Away Cabin is in a secluded part of Canyon Lake in a location that offers complete privacy - the cabin is not overlooked on any side. During inclement weather, Olianna Bumbling Brook (a small wet-weather creek!) navigates a path through the live oaks on the west side of the property. This is a great place to explore for wildlife and also hunt for fossils. Throughout the year there are many deer that roam through the property and we offer all guests a bag of deer corn to feed them from the comfort of the front or rear porch. On occasion it is not uncommon to see a dozen or so deer wandering freely by the cabin. There are also foxes, badgers and a multitude of different birds that share this piece of land with us. During those beautiful warm Texas nights, grill outside with the BBQ we provide then sit out on the front porch in one of the rocking chairs and watch shooting stars and satellites pass across the big Texas sky. The secluded location is perfect for star-gazers so don't forget your telescope! Alternatively, grab the acoustic guitar that we provide our guests and serenade your friends until the wee hours! Whatever your interests are Dream Away Cabin is guaranteed to create life long memories …

Absolutely Fantastic Accommodation
What a fantastic place! Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Dream Away Cabin is a beautiful, welcoming cedar log home. It is exceptionally clean, extremely well appointed, and care has been taken with all the little details. Stella was an absolute joy to work with, responding quickly to all my questions and providing excellent information on the area. The deer were plentiful and we loved to feed them from the comfort of the huge front porch. The lake is a short 10 minutes walk away down a peaceful country lane. I wish I could have stayed longer. If you are looking for a truly first rate country get away, look no further. I can’t believe I have not seen this gem in the Hill Country before. I will certainly be back

Quiet
It was ok. It is not private. It feels sort of private but people can see in from the side and back of house. The gate didn’t work. No Kleenex and I had allergies. Not even an extra blanket. One of the beds is comfortable but the sheets are very poor quality. You can’t tell if they are clean or not because they are so limp. i would not go back again.

Nice place
We enjoyed the stay very much, the reason I’m not giving the 5 stars is because it needed little dusting. We found a couple of spiders but I guess is understandable being on the middle of the woods. The cabin is beautiful and has a good wifi connection, plenty of kitchen items, nice beds, very close to the lake, overall is a Great place to go spend some quiet and relaxing time

Quiet Family Vacation
This cabin was the perfect place for my family to get away and relax for a few days. We really enjoyed slow mornings on the front porch watching the deer. The owners provide a small bag of deer corn to give the deer (one of many small, well thought out details) and the deer are used to being fed by people. They would come out when they heard my kids' voices while we sat on the porch in the morning. They would come close enough for the kids to throw the corn to them, but kept their distance. The location is great. A short walk to the lake. A short drive to Wimberley, San Marcos, and other interesting places (I loved driving the Devil's Backbone!). There are neighbors around, but the area was quiet. Thanks to the trees and brush, we felt pretty secluded. This cabin is at the top of our list for the next time we go to Canyon Lake.

Great getaway spot to reconnect with the family.
The cabin was very clean and well thought out with amenities. We all liked the wood beams and exposed log wall interior. The cabin is very close to the lake where we went kayaking. The location is also relatively close to Wimberly, San Marcos, and Natural Bridge Caverns. It was a great balance between access to things to do and having a quiet place to rest at the end of the day. The deer were also a nice treat. We had a great time.

Pretty log cabin
The cabin is very recent, furnished in the Texas style, very confortable and cute. The owner took great care of decorating nicely. Also, there are deers on the property, and there was a packet of deer corn for us to feed them. One of the bedroom is furnished with an amazing king size bunk bed made out of logs! My Kid enjoyed it very much.

First-Class Accommodations at Canyon Lake
Dream Away Cabin is a beautiful cedar log cabin at Canyon Lake. Secluded, spotlessly clean, and incredibly quiet, this cabin offers modern facilities and the optimum ability for comfort and relaxation near the lake. (Best fishing spots are a car drive away.) An entire family of deer come around to munch on the deer corn. Next time, we'll bring our telescope. Our personal standard in reviewing vacation rentals is whether we could live there, and regarding the Dream Away Cabin, our response is an emphatic Yes!

Thank you for your kind review. We are glad to know that you enjoyed the cabin despite the poor weather. We provide our guests with a bag of deer corn but it is not unusual for them to want to purchase more, just like you did. Deer feeding is so much fun! We have seen 19 deer at one time right at the front porch! Hope the memories you created will last a lifetime...

November Stay
The cabin was very clean and furnished with a lot of charm. It was frustrating though not to be able to use the fireplace. The owners should consider converting it to gas. If you plan on cooking be aware that the kitchen is sparsely furnished without a cutting board, mixing bowls, or simple things like even salt and pepper. Also, the whole inside of the cabin is lined with cedar and the odor is overwhelming.

Thank you for staying at Dream Away Cabin. We're glad to hear that you found it to be clean and charming. It is a new cedar log cabin so the lovely cedar aroma will welcome you as you walk into the cabin. A cedar cutting board is provided though it has such a unique shape that people may not recognize it as a cutting board. A regular cutting board has since been added so it's more recognizable. We have also added mixing bowls, more pots and pans. However, if you need something more specialized like a roaster or electric mixer, then you might want to bring those. If you're cooking, you might want to bring all your ingredients, including salt and pepper. We have some in the cabin but it is not a standard offering, neither is sugar or Splenda, creamer, etc. Lastly, the fireplace is now available for use for those cold, cozy nights 😊

Amazing Stay - Exactly what I was looking for!
10 out of 10 absolutely amazing. This is exactly what I was hoping for and I got that and more! The pictures on the site are great but hardly do it justice. The aroma, the solitude, the beauty is unmatched - If you are looking for a True log cabin, look no further!! Lake and trails just a short walk away. We especially enjoyed the Deer that walked right up to the porch - and getting to feed them! In short this is a place where you can get away from the hectic life, enjoy the scenery, and make some great memories! We will be returning, and only wish it was ours to keep!
