About the neighborhood
Dry Valley in Townsend is a quiet valley surrounded by mountains. It is 3 miles from the main road in Townsend, Hwy. 321. Townsend is a small town with one stoplight, several wonderful restaurants, a Christian-owned coffee shop, outdoor and boutique shops, an art gallery, easy access to hiking, waterfalls, picnic areas, ziplining, bluegrass music, fishing, horseback riding, biking, and river tubing (in summer), only a 20 mile drive to Pigeon Forge, TN and 26 miles to Gatlinburg, both east of Townsend. Maryville to the west is an 18 mile drive. The beautiful Foothills Parkway, Cherohala Skyway (popular with cyclists), and Tail of the Dragon are within close driving distance, as is Cherokee, NC. Come see us and you won't want to leave!
Getting around
You can walk or ride a bike, but we are located approximately 3 miles from 'town,' and the roads are steep and winding! We would recommend a car. However, biking is VERY popular in this area, so bring your bike if you like to ride!
