Lovely B & B, great location, amazing hosts
We booked Hollyoak for one night late in April and were met by Brian who explained all about the place - great garden and surrounds. Inside is a very old world feel but thoroughly modern and comfortable. Bryan and Helen were very affable hosts. Helen shared our love of reading mystery and crime novels and they had a delightful little rescue dog so we shared experiences, as we've had rescue dogs as well. Pleasant meal at the local pub and a good solid nights sleep. We highly recommend Hollyoaks as a journey breaker and it is so close to everywhere such as Kyneton, Daylesford and Woodend as well as some great walks in the area. Accommodation rates are also very reasonable.

A total delight
We had just one night at Hollyoak and thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Bryan and Helen were gracious hosts, friendly and very helpful when it came to local recommendations. The house is charming and full of character, and the lovely garden with its mature fruit trees an added treat. Breakfast was healthy and sustaining. All up, an excellent experience. Have no suggestions for improvements (which is unusual!)

Warm, friendly and inviting
We received a very warm from Helen and Brian at the front door. The place is clean, impeccably maintained and presented. Hosts made us feel welcomed. It was like visiting old friends and we even invited them to sit and have breakfast with us. We will be back. Thanks guys 🤗🙏

We had a very pleasant stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast. Warm and cozy, comfortable and clean room, well appointed bathroom, and a great breakfast cooked by our host Bryan on the aga stove as well as beautiful antiques and paintings. Our hosts Bryan and Helen were lovely people and we are certain to return. Highly recommended and congratulation to you both.

flexible ,accomodating and sollution occussed on my stuff up
After I stuffed up the dates I posed a problem turning up the wrong day and Bryan's humble abode being booked. Bryan was on the front foot and sourced alternative accommodation for us which was first rate.

Our Experience at HOLLYOAK B&B
A big thank you to Bryan and Helen, for a memorable, and very interesting stay in Trentham. Hollyoak offered very comfortable and spacious living. Surrounded by beautiful established gardens, Hollyoak is a short 3 minute walk to the centre of town, and great places to eat. Bryan is certainly interesting, accommodating, and very entertaining. Breakfast is laid out, and there's no pressure to eat by a certain time. His poached eggs on toast are the best! Thanks again Bryan and Helen, we will visit again soon. Janelle n Nadeem Wazir

Trentham is an extremely popular tourist destination =- being the center of many wineries galleries and places of interest ( Hanging Rock of Picnic at Hanging Rock fame) is 30 km form here We proudly have many first class eateries (Du Fermier is a five star restaurant) in the main street and 3 excellent hotels plus piazza and take-away Trentham Falls is famous - about 2 km from here and the falls are the biggest in Victoria
Getting around
There are trains from Woodend and Kyneton to Melbourne and Bendigo and buses connect at some times during the day - timetables are available but it is suggested a car is absolutely necessary

Trentham is situated approx. 20 km from Woodend Kyneton and Daylesford and our house is just 200 meters South of the Post Office which is in the main street Guest coming form Melbourne generally take the Calder Freeway and turn off at Woodend - we are on the Daylesford Road The nearest railway is at Woodend on the Bendigo line - we can arrange to collect guests from the station Trentham is just 93 km from Melbourne and 1 hour on the train (services run at least every hour)
