About the neighborhood
Whatever your age, whatever the weather, there is always something to enjoy: from walks on the beach to a Victorian gaol to a sea zoo; from the quiet world of exotic butterflies to a thrilling boat trip. Historic castles, nature reserves and museums can all be found on Anglesey whilst, The popular towns of Bangor and Caernarfon are also well worth a visit. The closest village is Rhoseigr where you can sail, surf, kite surf, wind surf, and surf canoeing or horse riding on beach. You can also fish, bird watch (at South Stack) or play golf. Faraway is also only a mile from The Anglesey Circuit - Trac Mon - if you fancy a bit of racing!
How to get there
By Road, from the A55: Leave the A55 at junction 5 (signposted Rhosneigr, Aberffraw A4080, Bryngwran A5), then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A4080 (signposted Rhosneigr, Aberffraw). Continue forward onto the A4080. Entering Engedi and following the route through Llanfaelog on to the coast road (towards Aberffraw, ignoring turnings to Rhosneigr). Once on the coast road, drive for around half a mile to a series of cottages facing the sea. Faraway is the last bungalow with its name on the gate. By train There are trains from London to Holyhead and bus services that meet to trains to Rhosneigr or local taxis. By boat There are boats to and from Ireland (Dublin) directly to and from Holyhead.
