Cute, quirky & CLOSE TO THE COAST, Ty Cert is more like a bespoke hotel-room than anything else, but with a kitchenette too! Located in a rural setting, & only a 15-20 min walk away from The White Eagle pub, Rhoscolyn Beach, the Coastal Path, St Gwenfaen's Church & Village Hall; perfect for romantic getaways, ferry stopovers, weddings & walkers ! Dog friendly for an extra fee: £5 per dog (1-2 nights), £10 (3-7+ nights) - payable on arrival. Self-contained & en-suite, with private access & parking. The room sleeps 2 comfortably - but we do have a camp-bed for a 3rd if needs be (for short stays) - as well as a travel-cot. With 3 in there though (especially if it's an extra adult) it's starts to get a bit cramped - so do be aware! We also add £10 extra per night for a third person - but fo...Cute, quirky & CLOSE TO THE COAST, Ty Cert is more like a bespoke hotel-room than anything else, but with a kitchenette too! With 3 in there though (especially if it's an extra adult) it's starts to get a bit cramped - so do be aware! We also add £10 extra per night for a third person - but for kids aged 4 and under it's free. Rhoscolyn's Outdoor Alternative/BActiveRhoscolyn is less than 10 min's drive away - or an easy 20 minute walk or so! If you have more than 2 dogs you'll need to OK it with me first - but if they're smallish we're not too worried. Even 3+ larger dogs are fine - but do be aware you may be a little squashed up in there! We have dog-bowls available too. The garden isn't 100% secure - but the bit outside your room can be made so. We have a cat - but he's very adept at getting away - and very used to dogs being around as well! Arrival time: from 3 pm onwards Departure time: by 11 am NB On occasion these times can be earlier/later - so just ask if this is OK in advance! Late/Early arrivals are fine - as we just leave the room open for you if we're not going to be around...or are in bed! Breakfast is available too - again, ask for details - but both meat, veggie and/or continental can be provided. I bring it to you, so you can eat it in the comfort of your own space - and at whatever time (within reason) that you like! Linen and towels are provided - but do bring your own beach-towels. The whole property is Grade II listed - and situated in the lovely village of Rhoscolyn. We're close to Rhoscolyn beach (Borth Wen), and there are headland walks close-by too; with Trearddur Bay being approx 40 mins walk away. The kitchen has a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a microwave and a mini cooker with a hob - plus: kettle, toaster - and all the usual equipment. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper etc are also provided - as is washing-up liquid, loo-paper and cleaning products. However, you may need to bring extra if you're planning a longer stay. NB We can always make room for freezer-food in our own home if you run out of space! Also, if you need anything washing whilst you're here - don't be afraid to ask to borrow our machine! The WiFi strength is pretty good for somewhere so rural! There are also books, magazines, local walking-guides, and OS maps. There's underfloor heating, plus a plug in radiator as well - and extra blankets too! The main garden is 'shared', but you're free to use it - including the washing line. We also have a fire-pit/BBQ you can borrow - just ask! Storing bikes and other sporting equipment is usually fine - just ask in advance. With Ty Cert being attached to the main house there's a little noise transference - but nothing major. As only my husband and I live there most of the time - and we're not too wild, so it shouldn't be a big issue! Please don't worry about us though, we're used to people being about and barely notice any noise at all! We have another rental properties on site too, as well as a public footpath passing through, so you'll probably see other people about now and again. More

Interaction with guests
As we live next door we're available to help and advise where necessary. We know all the local walks - as well as further afield - plus we can give you all the best eating and drinking recommendations! However, we'll leave you to your own devices otherwise! If you need collecting and/or dropping off at Holyhead Station and/or Port - just ask in advance - the same goes for a quick shopping trip! If possible (and it's not too late/early) we're happy to help you out for a small fee: £5 each way.

About the neighborhood
The pretty 'village' (or scattered community) of Rhoscolyn is both a beautiful and rural part of Holy Island - and has one of Anglesey's most beautiful beaches (Rhoscolyn Beach/Borth Wen). The Coastal path passes close-by, and The White Eagle pub is only a 15 minute walk away. A headland walk can get you to the bustling seaside village of nearby Trearddur Bay within 30 - 45 minutes on foot/15 by car - but there are longer walks too - with Porth Saint, Porth-Y-Garan, Porth Diana, and Porth Castell all within a 30-40 walk too. Head the other way and you'll reach secluded Silver Bay within the hour too! The closest shops are in Trearduur - but limited - however, Valley, and Holyhead especially, have more on offer - including a large Tesco.
Getting around
There's a local bus that picks up/drops off outside our house, but it only passes twice a day! Bringing bikes is a great idea, and we can store them for you too; the same goes for any other sporting equipment. The best way to explore the local area is on foot - however, we'd recommend a car for ease, and for those who want to roam further. If you need collecting and/or dropping off at Holyhead Station and/or Port - just ask in advance - the same goes for a quick shopping trip! If possible (and it's not too late/early) we're happy to help you out for a small fee: £5 each way. Taxi's are readily available from the station/supermarkets though - and it takes about 20 mins to get there from here by car - and costs approx £15 - £20.
