Spent a great week at Elidir Cottage. Very comfortable and cosy with everything you need. Our hosts Annmarie and Matthew were lovely, great communication nothing was too much trouble. This was a great base for exploring this part of Anglesey. Particularly enjoyed long walks at Newborough and Aberffraw where we managed to time it right to walk out to the church in the sea. We will certainly be back.

Have stayed in this cottage many times. (As well as two others.) It is always spotlessly clean and comfortable. Good furniture and well appointed kitchen area. Good views towards Snowdonia and a comfortable walk to the Menai Straits. Owners very helpful and friendly but not intrusive.

We recently stayed at the Elidir cottage with our 2 1/2 year old daughter and cannot rate the cottage highly enough. It is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location with lovely owners. We were greeted on arrival by the very warm and welcoming Annmarie who showed us around the cottage. Our daughter was especially excited about some fairy bedding that was thoughtfully provided. It was great to see that there were bed guards and mattress protectors also which was a huge help! The cottage itself is perfect for the week, it has everything you need and was pristine. Care has clearly been taken for small details and there were some nice finishing touches making the cottage feel homely. The cottage was spotlessly clean (which is more than can be said on a lot of rentals!) and the area felt very safe. There are some great amenities for kids (and adults) too. They have some lovely friendly ponies and goats which we all enjoyed feeding and petting! There’s also a great games room with pool, table football, air hockey and a whole hoard of dvds and books for holiday reading. In front and at the back are two patio areas with tables which was a nice place to sit at on a summery evening. There was a vast lawn in front which was great for football and running around on etc. The location of the cottage is fantastic also. It’s less than 5 minutes walk to the Menai strait. There’s Foel Farm and Sea Zoo 5-10 minutes walk away also which was really handy too, both of which give extra discounts for staying at Cerrig y bar us. We’re definitely wanting to re visit this cottage, and as reading the guest book many have stayed several times. It’s head and shoulders above other rentals we’ve stayed at and great value. Fabulous cottage, fabulous location. The cottage was immaculately clean. Would recommend. Ideal base to explore.

As a family party of 8adults and 3 children we had booked 4 Cottages. My husband and I stayed in Elidir cottage. Our holiday really started as we crossed the bridge onto Anglesey in beautiful sunshine.We arrived at the Cottages after a short pleasant drive, parking is provided in front of each cottage. The front doors were unlocked so in we went! This cottage was larger than I expected, two good sized bedrooms,comfy beds and nice linen. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable settees and a good sized dining table. This cottage had patios at the front and back.There is a large lawn area at the front with ample room for football or friend throwing! The Menai Straits and the Sea Zoo are close by.Foel farm is just down the road and provides a cafe, chocolate shop and attractions for the family such as tractor train rides and feeding the lambs. Matthew and Anne-Marie are the hosts at the Cottages and are very helpful and friendly, full of information but not intrusive.

The accommodation is kept in excellent condition and is the cleanest self catering we have ever stopped in. The cottage has all the items you would need and they are all good quality. Wifi worked well and the heating is good. It's nice to go somewhere where nothing is missing or broken. It appears that many people return year after year which is always a good sign. The cottage is a 5 min walk to the Sea with great views over the straits. We like that Anglesey has enough places to visit and places to eat, but not too many so it's still a relaxing holiday destination. The weather also seems much better than what you expect in the rest of Wales. You can watch the rain hitting the mainland while sitting in blue skies. We have already booked again for October and look forward to seeing the owners again as they were so friendly and helpful and live on site if you need anything.

I have stayed here on a few trips now and Anne Marie and Matthew are always welcoming and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The property is in a beautiful location with Snowdon as a back drop. Each house is clean and has everything you could possibly need, and like a second home. I can not recommended this holiday home highly enough. You really need to stay here and soak up the atmosphere of beautiful Wales
