Glan Y Mor highly recommended for larger families and groups
What a wonderful seafront house to stay in. Our party was 13 adults, 2 babies, a 2 and 6 year old. Our family travelled from Cornwall, Bristol and Chester to be together for my 60th birthday. Approaching the 4 storey home from the road it was just as described, just across the road from the seafront. There was unlimited free parking for all the properties on the road. The entrance hall is fitted with plenty of coat hooks and shoe racks. The inside entrance has yet more shoe storage. The kitchen is huge with an enormous oak dining table that easily accommodated our large group. The kitchen has ample cutlery, crockery, gadgets, gizmos and appliances. It has two ovens with hobs, a tall double fridge and a freezer in the utility room. The kitchen dining room is on the ground floor and looks out towards the promenade. On this same level you have a small cloakroom, a large utility room with two washing machines, a tumble dryer, and ceiling hung wooden indoor airers. Then beyond that you have a snug/games room with table football and television. Beyond that is a twin bed double bedroom looking out into a rear courtyard garden. Plenty of room to store kayaks, bikes and to hang out washing at the rear of the property. There is also a picnic bench. There is rear lane access to the property which was useful when packing up our bikes and kayaks. Up the stairs to floor one you have a twin bed double bedroom and a huge L shaped lounge/living room with many sofas, chairs, snuggle rugs, television and stunning sea views. A great place to sit with a cup of tea watching the world go by and in our case a lovely space for babies and children to play and family to socialise. Up on the next level there is a large family room (double bed plus a set of bunks) with sea views, and two double bedrooms with double beds. On the top floor you have another family room mirroring the one on the floor below and two more double bedrooms, one with twin beds. All bedrooms are en suite. Each set of stairs is fitted with a stair gate. Towels, for use in the property, and bed linen were supplied. There were hairdryers in each room. The location of the property is fantastic for exploring. We all did the zip wire at Snowdonia, one of our party walked Snowdonia, we went to Harlech castle, shopped for supplies in Porthmadog, went body boarding at Black Rock Beach, Porthmadog, ate out at Dylan's seafront restaurant, shopped for gifts in Criccieth high street, two of the lads did 'Go below' caving, three went Kayaking on the sea across the road from our property, and some of the family took children to an animal attraction. There was so much more we would have liked to do if we had more time. Jane the owner is wonderful. Answered all our questions prior to our stay and left us cakes in the kitchen for our arrival. Stay at Glan Y Mor and you will have a lovely time.

Perfect house for a large group
We stayed for 3 nights in August at Glan y Mor and had a fantastic weekend. We were a group of 4 families, 8 adults and 7 children and the house was a perfect size. The family rooms with ajoining bunkbeds were great for the younger children and the older children loved the games room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all good sizes, well decorated and very clean. The front bedrooms had beautiful views of the sea. The huge table in the kitchen easily seated all 15 of us and with 2 ovens and 2 fridges it made catering for that many people very easy. The big ultity room was great for hanging wet beach clothes and storing bikes. Aside from the size and lovely decor, the big selling point of this house is the location. It is right on the beach in the lovely town of Criccieth. We had our morning coffees sitting out the front looking at the seafront and our dinner on the beach every night (we were lucky with the weather!). Criccieth is a great location for visiting lots of lovely beache and we loved Harlech and Llanbedrog. The owner was very responsive and we will definitely book again in the future.

Perfect house for large family
Just returned from this beautiful house and didn’t want to leave. We are a large family from great grandparents, adults, teenagers, young children and small babies and our dogs. There was good communication from the onset and the house provided everything we needed and more. Plenty of space and privacy for everyone and we enjoyed a Sunday roast all together around the huge table. The house was spotlessly clean and the attention to detail such as two kettles, plenty of kitchen utensils, cleaning products and a lovely cake on arrival were much appreciated. We were blessed with the weather and spent many a morning and evening watching dolphins and seals in the bay opposite the house. Perfect location for the town, shops and pubs and the views are spectacular. Would highly recommend this house as we had an fabulous time and made some amazing memories. Thank you 😊

Really high quality and well-equipped group accommodation
I've been organising group trips for my golf group for 20+ years and I have some discerning members in the group! All were agreed that Glan-y-mor and Bay View were a really high quality pair of houses. There's a fantastic view from the front of the house, it's a quiet area with a nice pub and fish & chip shop nearby, the kitchens are well-equipped, there's a lot of space with the utility room and first floor lounges, the beds are comfortable and it's decorated to a very high standard. Would very happily return in future to play some of the golf courses again.

Fantastic House
We recently returned from a long weekend at this wonderful house. We are a large family group that had been looking for somewhere that would house us all and this was perfect. The kitchen table meant that we were all able to eat together, chat and catch up. The bedrooms were all good sizes with their own bathrooms. The house and lovely and clean and had everything you could possibly need to accommodate a large group of people. Its in a fantastic location right on the sea front and close the village. Really enjoyed exploring the area. Great communication when booking, and all the changes with covid regulations. Highly recommend.

Another fabulous weekend at Glan-y-Mor!
We're a group of 13 ladies who played netball together for 30 years and since hanging up our netball bibs we've been holidaying together now for 10 years. In 2016 we found Jane's properties Glan-y-Mor & Bay View (next door) in Criccieth and we haven't been anywhere else since. What more could you ask for, 8 bedrooms all en-suite within a 2 hour drive of our homes. The house is decorated to a very high standard and extremely comfortable. The sea views from the lounge are stunning and lying in bed listening to the waves is blissful. The different combination of bed sizes also helps when booking for a large party. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need for 20 guests and our favourite place is sitting round the huge dining table for breakfast. There are 2 of everything even cookers, fridges and dishwashers! There's plenty to keep us occupied even in March and we've found many and varied activities. Within an easy drive our highlights have been Portmeirion, Pant Du Vineyard, Segway and not forgetting the stunning coastal walks on the doorstep. Jane is a brilliant host, very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. Looking forward to 2023 already!

3rd visit and fabulous as ever!!
Not long returned from another fabulous long weekend at this wonderful house!! Beautifully presented and everything you could possibly need for a big family get together. A very well equipped kitchen helps when feeding the masses! The place was spotless, and clear instructions had been left so we knew what to do before we left. We had 3 children in our party and they were entertained by the beach across the road and the well stocked games room. Views to die for from the front facing rooms, comfy sofas and chairs in the lounge to sit and watch the waves…. which each of us did at some point. Each bedroom was en-suite, with comfortable beds and extra bedding if needed! I’d recommend Dylan’s on the next bay for a meal, great food and well priced. Already booked for next year, couldn’t imagine staying anywhere better!

Fabulous house
This is a perfect house for a family get-together. Beautifully decorated, spacious, warm, amazing views, great location. Really well kitted-out for big family meals, everything you need. One of the best houses we have ever stayed in (and we have been doing family big-house get-togethers every year for the last 20 years!).

About the neighborhood
Glan y Mor is ideally situated in the picturesque coastal Victorian resort of Criccieth. Criccieth is located to the east of the popular Llyn Peninsular and adjacent west of the Snowdonia National Park. This pretty unspoilt village has retained its Victorian charm with colourful terraced houses and hotels fronting onto two beaches which are divided by a stony outcrop which houses the impressive Criccieth castle. Amenities in Criccieth include a wide variety of tasteful shops, tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and galleries. Glan y Mor is located on Marine Terrace, which is located on the town's quieter west beach. Marine Terrace is a very quiet road, generally being occupied by residential local traffic only.
