Croeso i Danrhiw - Welcome to Tanrhiw, our charming holiday cottage in the centre of Criccieth, famed for it's castle in a stunning location on the Lleyn Peninsula near the majestic mountains of Snowdonia in north west Wales. The recently renovated centrally heated cottage is available for holiday lets and is only a short stroll from the beach, castle and high street in Criccieth. The stunning Lleyn Peninsula rolls out into the Irish Sea off the north west corner of Wales. Much of the surrounding coastline and hills are part of a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. To the east is the Snowdonia National Park, with attractions for all weathers. A car is not essential, but advisable. About the neighborhood
Tanrhiw is located at the centre of Criccieth, within easy walking distance of the shops, places to eat, takeaways, the castle, the town's two beaches and the railway station. The railway line runs behind the cottage, but only about twelve trains pass each day with the last before 11pm in the evening. Criccieth is often described as 'the pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia' - and they're not wrong! The view as you enter the town on the A497 from Porthmadog has been said to rival views over Naples. All very high accolades for a resort which enjoys a mild climate and still retains a strong Welsh charm too!
