The cottage is constantly upgraded and we have recently installed a new smart TV and blue tooth speaker (in the kitchen/dining area). Solid oak floors, throughout, open fires and other original features add to the character of this unique property.
Number1 Dinvin Street accommodates a maximum of 6 people. There are three bedrooms; two twin rooms upstairs, which share a bathroom, and a double downstairs, with en suite facilities.
We had a fantastic stay here. Easy to access with quick replies from the owner to any queries we had. Loads of space for 6 people and very comfortable beds and the two bathrooms are great too. The house was warm and the open fires were lovely too. A really cozy retreat after a blustery day outdoors. The kitchen is really well equipped for all meals we cooked. A great stay.

Perfect position with character.
This house is close to all the amenities of the charming village of Portpatrick. The house was clean and ideal for couples or family having bedrooms and bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs. Some down sides to it are the main room only is comfortable for 3 people however the kitchen/ diner is of a good size. There is no wardrobe in the downstairs bedroom. The garden is steep and one set of steps leading up to the patio are not easily managed therefore if you have young children or old dogs they will need supervising. However this is a lovely place to stay and Portpatrick itself boasts 3 lovely pubs (one not dog friendly) and Coopers is a lovely restaurant if you want something a bit more upmarket.

Wonderful holiday
Have just had a great time in Portpatrick staying at 1 Dinvin St. The cottage perfectly suited our family group's needs and the large kitchen/dining area allowed us to accomodate extended family for board games of an evening. Great location, comfy, clean accomodation. Hope to book again. Oh, almost forgot - the garden views are glorious. What a place to relax. Loved it.

Excellent Holiday Cottage
Number 1 is deceptively spacious inside with a wonderful kitchen space. It is comfortable and well appointed. The steep garden at the rear with its high veranda is a delightful bonus. We had great weather during our week long stay and breakfasted outside each morning taking in the view of Portpatrick and the Irish coast. Beautiful walks and cycle rides (though not flat ones!) start from here.
We loved it.

Had a lovely week
Returned from another week at this lovely cottage. Very spacious in the kitchen/diner. The lounge a little small but not a major issue at the kitchen is so large. Added bonus of WiFi which helped when we had a sick son, he was able to relax and watch Netflix. The stairs to the top of the garden are a little uneven (as expected) sonic you struggle walking not for you. But the views once at the top are amazing and worth it

Returned for another great week in Portpatrick
This was our third visit to #1 Dinvin Street. Once again we had a great week enjoying 5 glorious days weather. The property has a lovely open kitchen/diner which seats 6 people in great comfort. The kitchen has all the amenities you need in a self catering property to enjoy cooking your own meals. There are also a number of great pubs/restaurants within 5 minutes walk from the property. Even though the cottage is very near to the harbour side bars and restaurants the area is still very peaceful and quiet. A lovely big garden with decking at the top providing you with great views of the harbour and out to sea. We spent many hours relaxing in the garden during our stay.

Fabulous pet friendly cottage in portpatrick
1 Dinvin Street Portpatrick
we have just spent a relaxing week in this lovely cottage. The cottage is very clean, cosy, comfortable, well equipped and in an excellent location. We took our springer spaniel who loved the large garden at the rear of the property. We will look forward to booking this cottage again.

Lovely cottage great location.
We have just returned home from a weeks holiday at 1 Dinvin Street. The cottage was beautifully presented spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The kitchen and dining area was a lovely family room where the 4 of us enjoyed cooking listening to music and playing board games. The garden is amazing our dogs loved it. We thought it would be brilliant during the summer months to sit out there and enjoy the views. The cottage was in a great location and we would definitely recommend and hope to return soon. Thank you for a great week.

The village lies at the closest point between Scotland and Ireland and was for many years the main mail and passenger link between the two countries.
The cottage is a two minute stroll from the harbour where you can enjoy a drink outside one of the local pubs as you watch the boats come and go.
Apart from the fresh seafood and excellent local produce on offer in Porpatricks’ restaurants , the surrounding area offers excellent golf, tennis, cycling and fishing. Shooting and flyfishing parties can be accomadated on the local Dunskey estate.
Various festivals take place in the village throughout the year. They include Life Boat Week (July/August) and The Portpatrick Folk festival (September)
The nearby Dunskey Gardens and Woodland Walks are not to be missed and the spectacular Snowdrop Festival every February is one of Scotlands best kept secrets.
