We have had little break in Eyemouth at new year for the last 2 years and love this little town. This was our first visit to St Ellas Townhouse and it was just perfect! We booked as we wanted more space than our previous accommodation. ST Ellas is located in just the right spot for sight seeing and access to all the local amenities. Accommodation The place is well kitted out with nearly everything you could possibly want. In main it's clean, tidy, welcoming and warm. There was plenty of space, equipment and utensil for your stay. The nice touches are golf clubs, milk and bread on arrival as well as all usual home comforts. As mentioned the property itself is cleaned very well, although some of carpets could do with deeper clear as previous guests (I imagine ) have spilt things leaving some nasty stains. Although there is plenty if cupboard space most are taken up with cleaning products from towels, to dish cloths to extra bedding as well as various edibles. I think for future stays it would be better to free up some of cleaning products and other things to allow guests to use space for their own foods etc.... The property comes with wifi and it is of a reasonable space, unfortunately EE is provider and with my own previous experience their equipment is shocking and we found that we could not sustain a connection longer than 10-20 mins (much to my daughters frustration :) ) due to location and how solid the walls are mobile signal was next to impossible, so my feedback would be to leave EE and go with a provider who can get you setup with less flaky equipment. Location Just perfect - right off Market Place and very close to all pubs, restaurant, cafes and beaches. We have made some wonderful friends during our stay especially at the Contented Soul. Highly recommend popping in for a pint, also food at Ship was lush. Ice Cream and Fish and Chips in harbour are worth money. We didn't get chance to try Mackay's as their card machine was off and I didn't have cash. There is plenty of parking near accommodation or in immediate carparks. The beach is nice and tide does go back quite a way. The surrounding area has plenty of opportunities for walks and drives out. Lots to do and see Highly recommend and we are already looking for July to return.

Had an absolute fantastic time staying at this property very central to beach, bars and restaurants. Property had everything we required and very spacious. The butchers Dean Mark had an excellent variety of sausages and butcher meat and was right across from us. Plenty of take away places within 5 mins walk Co-op just around the corner could not fault this accommodation and we would recommend without hesitation. Excellent

The apartment is over 3 floors. There has clearly been an issue with damp as there is a 'smell' to the place. To compensate for this, there is air fresheners EVERYWHERE, including plug ins which made it worse and had to switch off as caused allergies. It is really well equipped and the location is fab! An apartment of 2 halves. The lounge is spacious, the kitchen is small (no dishwasher) but has everything you need except space. Couldn't unpack the food I brought as everywhere is crammed full of cleaning products, carpet freshener and sprays to mask the damp smell. Bread and milk were provided so, thank you. The bedroom is spacious and the bathroom is large and fab but, again, crammed with cleaning products so no space for guests to store their own. The bathroom is also modern. Pros Very central, well equipped and lovely bathroom and kitchen. Bed soooo comfy. Quiet, apart from the seagulls (not owner's fault). Didn't try the wii. Cons Damp smell everywhere, needs new carpets or a thorough clean of the carpets as they felt 'greasy'. They are badly stained too. Maybe wooden flooring would be better? Kitchen underfloor heating is broken and woodchip wallpaper is dated, stained and peeling. Very cluttered with nick nacks and no room for shopping in the kitchen. Bedroom has bedding stuffed behind TV and in drawers so not much room for clothes. Hanging space is rubbish. The front door lock doesn't work. This has been highlighted many times on reviews and in the visitor book. Had a pleasant stay but wouldn't rush back as have stayed in better places in Eyemouth. Sorry!!! Tips Take an eyemask and earplugs as it can be noisy and it doesn't get dark at this time of year (aga8n, not owner's fault).

I visited this house back in 2016 and revisited this Easter. I am disappointed that some of the things (underfloor heating and chair in living room) were still not working. Also the front door lock didn’t feel the safest but apart fro that a lovely wee house in a great location.

Stayed here with my wife, our 4 year old boy and our Cockapoo. Great communication with Allan and the housekeeper Judith from the start very helpful. Found the house straight away. Amazing location, I was on the beach with my dog in 2 minutes. The house is finished to a very high standard, living room was spacious but cosy. The kitchen had everything you need and more. The super king size bed was spot on and the bathroom was great with under floor heating and an amazing whirlpool bath. Overall we had an amazing, relaxing stay here. I would highly recommend this property and we will be booking again for sure! Thanks Allan! Jay

The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped and it made a great base for touring the area. The bread and milk provided was very welcome. The communication with Judith, the housekeeper, was good. Some minor points - the underfloor heating is not working in the kitchen and this was also mentioned in the visitor's book over a year ago but it still appears in the information. There is a huge amount of cleaning products in the kitchen cupboards and in the bathroom so there is no room for guest's food in the kitchen or toiletries in the bathroom. Although there is drawer space in the bedroom it needs a full length hanging rail or wardrobe as the current low down rail with its awkward hangers is not practical. There is also a large untidy pile of bedding in the corner of the bedroom. There is only one bedside light, as readers we would have liked one on each side. Please take this as constructive comments because we did enjoy our stay.

Loved this place so nice and clean and central. Great base to explore from. We had a great stay. One minor issue was we could not watch a dvd as the Wii would not work or support the dvd. All in all I will recommend this place.

Our second time staying at Alan’s place. Has everything you need and great central location. We found it easy to park on street. Would return and stay again!
