Award winning holiday home situated in Scotlands most preserved Historic Village.
The Strone is a detached property situated in ample secluded gardens. Guests have exclusive use of the full property during their stay.
The location could not be better, smack bang in the middle of Luss Village. Luss is unlike any other Village in the UK, preserved more or less as it was in the 19th century. Strict planning laws and high property prices have left this tiny Village almost unchanged. The perfect place for anyone visiting to fully relax and to take in the genuine Loch Lomond spirit.

The best of Luss
The Strone is absolute perfection. We spent 4 nights to celebrate my mum's birthday and it was amazing - it perfectly blends original features & charm with all the mod cons. Every corner you turn in the house, you discover something else - full of cute nooks and crannies. Lots of lovely touches on arrival too. Colette was very easy to communicate with, and took a Saturday night Facetime call from me as I couldn't figure out how to turn on the fire ;). Would highly recommend and already plotting our next trip to the Strone.

Luxury and tranquility
Truly amazing house , peaceful and relaxing in a place of tranquility . Furnishings feel luxurious with great attention to detail, very clean. everything you need is there to hand. Loved the little touches 😊 we had a great time and made best memories as a family. We will definitely be back soon great value for money. Thank you Collette and team , Katrina and family

The Strone is a must
The house is stunning, spacious and has everything you would ever need including cocktail shakers, ice buckets, ping pong table etc.
We had the most amazing stay and they had even left a homemade cake for us!
We couldn’t have asked for a better home to stay and location is also great. Will definitely be planning a return trip.

Pure luxury at Strone!
Shared a fantastic few days at Strone with a group of friends. The accommodation is out of this world and every tiny detail was just perfect. Location is stunning. We couldn't have asked for more!

Break away with friends
This house is lavished with the very best quality of everything. The house is so spacious, well equipped down to the last detail. It was decorated for Christmas and the atmosphere is superb with a hearty fire and very comfortably heated throughout. The location is idyllic in Luss and very accessible with a marvellous host.

Family gathering
A wonderful trip to celebrate a special birthday made even more special by staying in this lovely house. It’s a beautiful house, warm and inviting and fitted with everything you could possibly need. Three generations including a boisterous three year old and space for all to do their own thing.

Fab birthday weekend at the Strone.
We stayed at the Strone for my sister’s 40th in February and had such an amazing time. The cottage is kitted out with everything you need, and more. The place has a very home from home feel, it’s so cosy and peaceful. Colette, the owner, passed on numbers for a few ladies who came to house and did massages on all of us. They were great and made us all feel very relaxed. We can’t wait to go back soon.

Another amazing stay at The Strone
We had another amazing stay at the Strone over the Easter Holidays. Collette went above and beyond as usual making our stay extra special by leaving a lovely Easter basket of goodies for the kids. Staying at the Strone never disappoints, it’s so good we never want to leave. Had everything that you could want and more of a holiday home. In the beautiful setting of Luss what more could you ask for. Definitely planning our next trip!

Beautiful house
Just got back after an amazing 4 nights at The Strone. The host went above and beyond to make us all at home down to the little details. Beautiful house. Can't recommend enough. Lovely base for my Brother in Laws wedding

Fabulous holiday home
Absolutely gorgeous holiday home based in the centre of Luss. It was the perfect base for a well overdue gathering of friends. The Strone had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, facilities first class. The host Colette was fantastic and ensured that everything was perfect for our stay. We will definitely be back !

About the neighborhood
Legend has it that the village takes its name from the French heraldic flower, the Fleur de Lys. According to the legend a local girl married a high ranking French officer in the 14th Century. She died in France and her body was returned to be buried by Loch Lomond. The Fleur de Lys strewn on her grave by her husband and are said to have taken root to flourish here ever since.<BR><BR>During the Empire years Luss was a popular destination for high society wishing to escape the busy streets of the City. In recent years the village has seen a resurgence in its traditional tourist industry. Not that the Village has changed, it is still the simple crofters village on the banks of Loch Lomond that it always was but then that's what makes it so special for everyone who visits now.
