There is a huge double ended bath and a shower in one and the others have showers. The downstairs bedroomhas a wet room suitable for wheelchair users. The kitchen is superbly equipped for those who like to cook. There's both an Aga and Neff oven, along with an induction hob, Magimix food-processor, hand held electric whisk, plenty of saucepans (including big ones) and sharp knives. The Aga has a clothes rail overhead- ideal for drying wet coats and washing. The house has been designed so whoever is cooking is not excluded from what's going on in the main living area. It is warm, well insulated, has underfloor-heating, a large wood-burning stove and as much wood and kindling as you need. There is lots of space in the enormous sitting/dining room with free wireless broadband, a TV, DVD and CD player. The large sun room has spectacular views across the valley to the hills, gives access to the hot tub and is stocked with books, DVD's, puzzles and board games. For guests with children we can provide cots, highchairs, toys, games and books. There are videos for little ones and an unsupervised trampoline. There's a large drying room in the porch area for wet clothes and boots. Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement and with care, although we insist they sleep in the indoor porch area and they are not allowed upstairs, in bedrooms or on soft furnishings. The Hot Tub and Patio We have a barbecue which runs on wood or, if you prefer to bring your own, charcoal. An enormous table and chairs face up the glen to the spectacular mountain view of Sgurr Dhonaild and is very private. The hot tub is for the exclusive use of guests staying at Honeysuckle House.

Sustainable luxury in a beautiful setting
We were three families and the space was ample, both in terms of bedspace but also tablespace and crockery etc. It never felt crowded. Highlights included: the wonderful provisions that met us on arrival; the Aga which was always ready to warm up one of Chris' scones; amazingly fresh eggs from happy chickens collected by our children; the gardens with their ducks and sheep; and the hot tub with the most amazing views. The house was cosy but uncluttered and had a brilliantly well-equipped games room. Chris and Richard were on hand if we needed them but we never felt their presence too much. Strontian is a charming village, although we were mostly out and about or in our lovely house so didn't need to rely too heavily on it and the whole peninsula is ruggedly gorgeous.

Lovely location, beautiful countryside and luxurious house with hot tub!
Honeysuckle house was perfect for 2 families (10 people) , plenty of space for all with a big sitting room and separate games room. Fab kitchen. Hot tub was enjoyed by all after a walk or cycle in the hills. Overall thank you, we had a lovely week.

There are not many places that i have visited that left me speechless but Bluebell Croft is one such place. It was a total destress long weekend consisting of 4 couples. To have your hot casserole in the aga on arrival & the smell of fresh hot scones wafting through the cottage just convinced us from the word go that we had made a good choice. Both cottages are equipped with everything you could possibly need & the quality & comfort of the beds was 1st class. We had the log burner in constant use & the supply of logs was endless The serenity & vistas of the surrounding area is just devine as you relax in the hot tub. Chris & Chrissie, the owners should be proud of the haven that they have created. There is plenty to keep you occupied both in the property & the area. Sanna beach is a feast for the eyes & could rival the Carribean any day! I would highly recommend this property to anyone who appreciates nature. This is definitely in an area of outstanding natural beauty & the owners have added an ambience that is magical. Would return in a heartbeat.❤

Excellent return visit
We visited Bluebell Croft last year with a larger group and this year returned to Honeysuckle Cottage. The weather was not kind for the whole weekend but we achieved our goal of reaching the summit of Sgurr Dhomhnuill, the peak of the ridge visible from the cottage's hot tub. After a 10-hour walk involving navigating through mist and wading across a swollen stream, I can't tell you how welcoming it was to have Shepherd's Pie provided for us by Chris and Chrissie, the owners! The hot tub had to wait until the following morning when we could enjoy the view even more, knowing we'd been there the previous day. Thoroughly recommended but do remember to take midge repellent if visiting in summer!

A truly fabulous cottage in a stunning location
I booked this cottage for a group of 10 and we all had a really wonderful stay. The cottage itself is gorgeous and very well-equipped, and the homemade scones/jam, loaf of bread and wine awaiting us on our arrival were lovely extra touches. There are great walks directly from the cottage to the surrounding forests and mountains and the village has a decent shop and lovely restaurant, in which we enjoyed a good meal on our last night. Fort William and fabulous West Highland scenery are within easy reach of the cottage by car and we visited some beautiful beaches on the peninsula. We also took the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig, which was an amazing experience, and took the ferry across to the Isle of Mull and then another one from there to Iona. We will certainly not forget this experience in a hurry and I personally will highly recommend the cottage to family, friends and anyone else I talk to about our special trip. There is still so much to visit in the area, so you may well see one or more of us back again at some point in the not-to-distant future! Many thanks on behalf of the group for providing such a lovely base for our Western Highlands holiday.

Splendid stay in Strontian
Honeysuckle and Rose Cottages can be booked separately or together. If booked separately, the connecting sun room belongs to Honeysuckle. We booked both cottages and are glad we did as it gave us exclusive use of both the sun room and the very splendid hot tub. The cottages are walkable from the village, though it’s a bit of a walk up a fairly steep hill from the road. The cottages were spotless, with well-appointed kitchens, all bedrooms en suite and lots of comfy sofas. The dining table in Honeysuckle could easily seat 10 (Rose has a smaller table for 4). Honeysuckle also has an Aga so it’s cosy at all times. There are woodburning stoves in both cottages which we didn’t use as it was pretty warm without, but would be nice later in the year. The owners live close by and are friendly and helpful, providing us with fresh bread and warm scones on arrival and on hand to give advice on local walks and places to eat. They also provided a casserole and vegetarian moussaka one evening (requested in advance), which were both delicious and very reasonably priced. Difficult to find any fault! Booking together currently costs the total of both cottages but we thought a small discount for booking both together might be an incentive to book both cottages in order to have more space and exclusive use of facilities. The cottage has wifi but there is no mobile signal – little or no signal anywhere in the area – and the nearest payphone is in the village, so a landline payphone would be a good idea for emergencies. And take plenty of insect repellent – the midges are relentless!

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Bluebell Croft. We're pleased to hear that the properties were suitable for your group and that you enjoyed the home cooking. We appreciate your comments re pricing and renting the Whole House and do offer a loyalty discount for repeat guests. The mobile phone mast in the village has been experiencing breaks in service over the last few weeks and this is being dealt with by the telephone company. We do live on site and welcome guests to contact us for assistance, especially for emergencies. For the infamous Scottish midge we unfortunately have no remedy 😁

Great Long Weekend
Booked Honeysuckle House for our group of 9 friends. Throughout the process from Booking to Leaving the process was supremely easy, straightforward and well communicated. Not only that, both Chris and Chrissie are very friendly and accommodating (Especially when you need to change your dates and numbers slightly, thank you both soooo much!!) On arrival it was fantastic to walk into such a large house with fresh bread and jams sitting giving a great smell, only to be added to by some fantastic fresh scones. Perfect for after a long drive up on a grey day! Chris was great showing us everything we needed about the house, including how to work the Aga! That thing is amazing for cooking a paella for 9 people on! Even with nine of us in the house, we had loads of room for eating around the table, relaxing in the common space and for cooking and cleaning. We all loved the house, the fire, the hot tub, the beds (so comfy!) everything including the amazing views in the middle of the glen. We all loved it, thanks so much for everything! Cheers again guys!

Couldn't ask for more.
We recently had a lovely family holiday at Honeysuckle cottage and I really can't recommend it highly enough. Chris and Chrissie went over and above anything we expected and as well as the warm welcome with home made scones were invaluable with assistance for my dads dialysis machine. Comfy beds, lots of bathrooms, great wheelchair access and lots of space all added to this being a really great holiday. This is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the world and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

Truly awesome!
We went to the Honeysuckle croft for a business trip. We stayed one night in late September. The bnb stays on the island close to Fort William, twenty minutes drive from the harbour if you come with ferry from the mainland. There are two bnbs on the spot: Honeysuckle House and Rose Cottage. We stayed at Honeysuckle House. We were so amazed about the view Honeysuckle got. Right in front of you is the top of another hill where you can see clearly a small group of Scot Pine Trees. They are so beautiful but so rare to see in Scotland nowadays. In the surroundings there are only a handful properties around. So you can imagine how quiet here is! The property itself was clean and spotless. You got everything can be imagined that you might need. What truly impressed us is the fully functioned AGA and the Jacuzzi! It's actually cold at night in late September so we decided to try the Jacuzzi. OMG how nice it was! The late autumn night was so quiet, so dark, only a village shines from a faraway distance. Only steam was rising from the water around you. All you can feel is the warm water and clear clear air on the top of the hill!

Fantastic !!!!!
A party of 12 family members spent a week at Bluebell croft we booked the whole house. Stunning property, insde and out. Bedrooms are large spacious with supper-king size beds, beautiful duvet sets in every room. Disabled access is good inside the property, with two wetroom showers. Gravel outside makes it a bit difficult for wheelchairs but there are ramps to allow access into the property. Slabed patio areas off of ground floor bedrooms are easily accessable. Kitchen is extremly well equiped, electric aga on constantly making the large dinning/ sitting room cosy. Lots of space inside and outside to relax. Hot tub was soooo relaxing with views you just wont get tired of looking at. Plenty of local walks, our dogs loved it.
