Overview
Cottage -
3 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 6
Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute, Scotland
Clachandubh dates back to the early 1800s, it is located on its own by the burn beside a fabulous old bridge. Quiet and peaceful but only a 15 minute drive to the coast and perfectly positioned to visit the Islands. The cottage has been totally up graded from top to tail with two twins, a twin/super-king and a new en-suite bathroom. A well equipped new large family bathroom and new kitchen. Also a spacious sitting room with wifi, flat screen TV, DVD, docking station and dining area with plenty of seating gathered around a large open fire.

The local area has an abundance of wildlife with ospreys nesting on the loch near the cottage. As guests on the estate you are free to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty.

You are well positioned for touring Argyll and Islay and Jura but there are plenty of glorious walks close by. I would recommend simply walking up in...

Great spot to explore the coast. Nearest pub serving food in Bridgend has huge portions. Make sure you take supplies as nearest shop is only small. In conclusion a...

The local area is steeped in history with a museum in Kilmartin to explain its ancient past. The village also has a shop, restaurant and a pub .There are ruined castles and chapels to explore in walking distance from the cottages with an abundance of fishing, walking, horse riding, sea trips, golf courses and water sports in the local area. We do have a smokery in the village of Ford for excellent smoked fish and restaurants only a short drive away in Crinan,Ardfern and Cairnbarn.
