Cottage
Bluefolds Highland Holiday cottages, Glenlivet, Scotland have panoramic views to the Mountains in the Cairngorms National Park. Pets are welcome. Our 3 cottages are set on a hillside within farmland with lots of open space in Glenlivet. This location, to the north east of the Cairngorm Mountains, is dryer and sunnier than areas to the west of Scotland. The wildlife in Glenlivet and the Cairngorms is exceptional such as Red Deer, Roe Deer and Red Squirrels; along with whisky distilleries and castles both lived in and romantic ruins. Dronach Cottage is an end cottage on the steading building with 2 bedrooms,lounge/dinning room; kitchen and bathroom is south facing giving lots of beautiful light in a fenced garden. Red squirrels, pheasants and small birds are regular visitors to our bird feed...Bluefolds Highland Holiday cottages, Glenlivet, Scotland have panoramic views to the Mountains in the Cairngorms National Park. Peaceful and comfortable
Beautiful setting, so peaceful and quiet. The cottage was cosy and comfortable. It was very well equipped and clean. The owners were most helpful and friendly. Fabulous walks nearby and lots to see just a short drive away.

Peace and quiet - Glen of Tranquility- unbelievable night sky
Very comfortable and well appointed cottage, our hosts live adjacent and were on the hand to welcome us on arrival and to inform us of all the arrangements/equipment to hand. Spent ages watching the birds from our lounge with the cosy stove on in the background. Good base for Balmoral, North Coast Trail, distilleries and enjoyed the circular 6 mile Livet Path one afternoon. Good laugh talking to "Alexa" in the cottage to request all our favourite music.

Excellent
One of three isolated intimate stone cottage with stunning views up a long lane past a working farm. Sleeps upto 6 with two bedrooms and takes upto 2 dogs got extra £25. All necessary facilities with kitchen well stocked with utensils. Small wood/coal burning stove as well as formal heating. TV and WiFi. Excellent information pack and maps and binoculars provided. Owners very responsive to one’s needs and very helpful. Bathroom has toilet, sink and shower. Water comes from stream but is pure and drinkable. The air is pure and the views are simply stunning. One of three cottages semidetached around small court yard. Either go for a romantic getaway or as a group of family and friends as a base to visit the highlands. Good enough to want to come back. Don’t go if you don’t like peace and quiet, snow peaked mountains, pure clean air, stunning views wildlife, walks on the moors, the highlands and historic Scotland. Do go if you like whisky, there’s no shortage of choice.

Really Rural Retreat!
Truly magnificent location offering presidential views to faraway mountains with a comfortable cottage attached! Dronach is one of three cottages cleverly designed into a single block -one other was let during our stay and we didn't even notice we had neighbours until Day 2. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen (often a bugbear of holiday cottage lets) was very well equipped - no kitchen equipment improvisation required. There's even a washing machine. The cottages are accessed up a farm track that initially appears to be heading up to open countryside before the cottages hove into view. The area teams with wildlife - plenty of garden birds visiting the bird feeder plus curlews dining in recently ploughed fields. There's a well manicured grass outdoor sitting /play area frequently patrolled by a Hare. Although I could not get a mobile 'phone signal the cottage has a WiFi set up and and land line for occasional use. The bedrooms each had a double and single bed with ample storage space. This is a very good base for anyone who likes to get away from it all to explore the delights of Speyside which are many. I would certainly go back for another stay, perhaps for more of a walking holiday given open moorland can be accessed from the cottage.
