Linlithgow is nearby and train links to Edinburgh and Glasgow run frequently from Bathgate and Linlithgow and with excellent road links to Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Gleneagles and further afield this is the perfect place to relax and unwind.The owners will be as flexible as possible with check in and check out times.
. Normal Check in is 4pm and check out time is 11am, should you request an earlier or later check in we can let you know nearer the booking, just send us an email the week before and we will do our best to accommodate.
We do have a minimum stay policy but can accommodate shorter stays, so it is possible to stay fro one night but we do have a supplement to add, the price for a one night stay starts from £175.00 depending on the season. Quotes for this on request.
Excellent base for visiting family in Bathgate. Clean and comfortable with a nice outlook just outside the town. Comfortable beds and pillows. Plenty of room for the 2 of us. Will be back in the future on another visit. Much nicer than staying in a hotel.

Excellent accommodation in a peaceful location.
We booked this property for 1 week in January 2022 whilst we were home visiting family in the area and it was perfect for our needs. Located in peaceful countryside whilst just a short drive to Bathgate, Linlithgow and the M8 motorway made it an ideal location. Sharon and her husband were very welcoming and even allowed us to have our day 2 covid tests delivered to them as the holiday cottage has no letter box. The cottage was very clean and furnished to a high standard with plenty of room for us and our adult children. The kitchen is very well equipped and had everything that we required.
Would highly recommend this accommodation and we will 100% try to use it again when we are back in the area.

Stayed at Westcraigs for 3 nights over Hogmanay and absolutely loved it. The house is amazing it has everything you need for self catering and more with everything finished to a very high spec. The views are amazing surrounded by open fields and we really took advantage of the BBQ hut which is a great addition and we sat in it for hours and hours having a few drinks and listening to music. Owners were great also with communications on run up to stay and on hand for any questions on arrival. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Really perfect peaceful
This accommodation is really lovely with absolutely everything you need. We had a lovely BBQ in the Icelandic hut. Views of the countryside are beautiful and the sheep dogs kept us amused for ages with their hard work rounding the sheep.
Very close to shops and eateries.
Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming and allowing us early entry.
Perfect for short or long stay.
Would definitely recommend and hopefully be returning soon. Thank you

Will definitely stay here again
If you are looking for accommodation near Edinburgh but still in the peaceful countryside this is definitely the place to stay! The owners are super friendly and always there if you need help or advice. There was ample parking for 2 cars and not only was the accommodation clean, but also furnished to a super high quality. The view over the countryside is beautiful to wake up to. If we ever return to Edinburgh we will 100% stay here again.

Excellent stay
I booked this property as a base for me and my bridal party to stay in and get ready the morning of my wedding. The house is beautiful inside and has everything you could possibly need when you arrive. Sharon and her husband are really helpful, although the house is on their property (right in the garden) you never feel like you are in their way or vice versa. It is around a 10 minute drive from the Vu so perfect for weddings. Also the upstairs has dorma windows so perfect for having our make up done on the morning of the wedding! Plenty of space for 14 women to get ready, just perfect! Thank you☺️☺️

Luxury house. Perfectly situated near the Vu for our daughters wedding.
We enjoyed a week here in February. Being only 10 minutes away from the Vu it made a perfect Base for us. We had a long drive up from Bristol and Sharon kindly let us check in early. It was a cold day but the house was cosy and warm.
The house is light and airy which was great for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in and for the photos.
It was a busy week but after the wedding we enjoyed the piece quiet and beautiful views from the house.
We had family over for a bbq in the artic cabin which was great fun. Thank you Colin for making us a pot of drambuie sauce for are burgers.
We intend to go back one day to explore the area more.

In the immediate area surrounding the cottage there are some superb country walks and a short drive away are Beecraigs and Muiravonside Country Parks offering fabulous walks and wonderful scenery

Golfing in Linlithgow, Bathgate and of course further afield Gleneagles (apprx 45 mins)
Tourist attractions include Linlithgow Loch and Palace, South Queensferry (Forth Road Bridge ) Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, Wallace's Monument and Gleneagles.
There are a good selection of cafes, bars and fabulous restaurants to choose from including Italian, Indian, Traditional Scottish and Chinese cuisine.
