This was a family reunion for six of us after Christmas and New Year and what a fantastic setting. The Beach, the shops and restaurant/cafes. Not too far from the Skye Bridge and only a 30min drive to the main town of Portree .We new that quite a few places would be closed it being just after Christmas but that did not effect our holiday. We managed to get to the Fairie Pools and to the Talisker distillery, which is fabulous. The house was perfect for out family gathering, the kitchen is a great size and fabulously equipped. The house is very roomy and the beds were very comfortable and having a ensuite bathroom in two of the rooms was great. It was so relaxing sitting by the patio and watching the ebbing and flowing of the water. We all loved this house and the owners are very easy to contact and very helpful, I would highly recommend staying at Moeraki.

We couldn’t fault our stay. Excellent stay, very clean, warm, comfortable, everything we could need including the views. Even the changeable weather couldn’t dampen our spirits. This was our first time on the Isle of Skye and it didn’t disappoint. Lots of space, comfortable beds, excellent heating. All the comforts of home and more. Broadford is a great base to stay, with all the facilities needed.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The setting is beautiful, right on the water. The view is constantly changing. It is comfortable and cosy throughout - really comfy beds and sofas, great showers, etc. There are so many additional thoughtful touches provided too - books and games, even a Wii for great fun on those Skye rainy days! The location is perfect too. At low tide go down on the beach and search for treasure in the rocks. Or just sit on the deck and watch for the seals and otters. You can walk right into Broadford, which is a lovely little place, with cafes and eateries, a supermarket, and some lovely walks by the sea. Everywhere else on Skye is an easy drive away, if you can tear yourself away from the house. We visited Elgol (great drive), Armadale (lovely pier and castle gardens), drove through the Quiraing, and (and this is a MUST DO) took the Glenelg turntable car ferry across the sea and back. Last of its kind in the world, and a great cafe there too to watch the world go by. Can't say enough good things about this place. The hosts are super attentive too should you need anything. We will be back! And back! And back!

Stayed at Moeraki for 1 week and I felt as if I was on a different planet! From first entering the house ( photos don't do it justice) until we left I couldn't fault it in anyway. The views were breathtaking and I would often sit on the veranda at 5.00am just dreaming of the sights. You will not be disappointed, still thinking of Moeraki weeks later

Moeraki is just such a wonderfully comfortable beautiful place to stay. I waited such a long time to get there and was so excited. I was not disappointed. My family were over the moon with the accomodation. It is amazingly well equipped, spotlessly clean bright and airy in the daytime and cosy in the evening especially with the log burner on in the lounge. The view from the lounge is spectacular with the changing colours of the skye and the waters of the bay. We had a few nice sunny periods when we were able to sit out on the decking overlooking the bay. I loved having my morning coffee there and a glass of wine in the evening. Very relaxing. The rooms are spacious. Bathrooms and en suite immaculate with powerfull showers. The beds are extremely comfortable with quality bedding. My grandaughter of 12 yrs said she loved waking up in such a comfortable bed and had great sleeps. She was also very appreciative of the board games and the WI. The property is in an ideal location for easy access to the co-op and the amenities of Broadford. Restaurants and cafes are within walking distance. I recommend the Claymore Hotel and Cafe Sia for very good food and service. The Coffee Bothy is very laid back with friendly staff and has a really good selection of amazing cakes. Well worth a visit. Lots of stunning scenery in Skye and Moeraki is well placed to visit the rest of skye. I must also say that Jennie the owner was a pleasure to communicate with and also had all necessary information regarding the accomodation covered in great detail in an information folder. I must also say that the welcome gift was also very much appreciated and a lovely touch on our arrival. All in all we had a really lovely stay in this wonderful place and I so miss the views we had. The house was very neat, clean and tidy and contained everything we needed. It was exactly as described on the website. The view across the bay is fascinating. The changing weather patterns mean it is different every time you look out. There were some spectacular rainbows over Kyle of Lochalsh Broadford is a very good place from which to visit the rest of the island. The local Coop provided us with the food we wanted and there were lots of places to eat out. The Dunollie Hotel has very good food and is only 15 minutes walk away.

Moeraki is well placed within walking distance to the local amenities in Broadford, It has its own private access to the shore, with amazing views out to sea and as far away to Applecross. The bungalow is private, modern, spacious and very well equipped. If there is inclement weather a clothes drying rack comes in very useful. The place was immaculate when we arrived. The beds are very comfortable and all the rooms are of a good size. The kitchen is very well appointed with high quality equipment. The communication with the owners Jenny and Dave was excellent, and any queries dealt with promptly. We had a very pleasant two weeks' stay.

Moeraki is a wonderful place to stay. My family of five have just spent week there. There is everything you need to to cater for a stay, it is laid out neatly and every drawer and cupboard has list of what goes where which was helpfull. All the appliances were in good order and easy to use. There was a TV in place which we didn't use as the view from the cottage was gorgeous. The owner was just phone call if needed and was very helpful. It was that nice our stay here we were contemplating taking up squatters rights but thar wouldn't have been fait to the people following us

What a wonderful, relaxing fortnight's holiday we had at Moeraki. Waking up each morning looking across the bay to the islands and highlands beyond was just spectacular. The sea cones up practically to the front garden gate at high tide. The house itself was very comfortable, spacious and extremely well equipped. Jenny, the owner, was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the holiday so much that we have booked again for next year. Highly recommended for a relaxing break.

Moeraki is a clean, spacious, modern, well appointed house in a stunning coastal location. We cooked in every night and the kitchen is amazingly well appointed with every implement you would ever need. All the fittings and fixtures are to a high standard and the whole cottage felt warm and extremely comfortable. The setting is stunning, with the lawn at the front of the house running straight onto the shore. Its a perfect base for exploring the amazing Isle of Skye.
