Moeraki is in an idyllic peaceful setting by the sea and yet within walking distance of many of the local facilities in Broadford including restaurants, shops and the local pub. The accommodation is centrally heated with quality furnishings and appliances and offers all the facilities needed for a perfect holiday – suited to a romantic retreat for two or for a family / group of friends to relax and enjoy all that the magical Isle of Skye has to offer. There are panoramic and far reaching views across Broadford bay and out towards the islands of Scalpay, Pabay and across to the hills of Applecross on the mainland.
Moeraki is ideally located for exploring all of Skye and many places can easily be visited on the mainland west coast within a day. The area offers a wealth of visitor attractions...

An amazing place!!
Broadford is an excellent location to explore Skye from with very good local amenities. Moeraki Is stunning the view is mesmerising and you find yourself stood looking out of the windows over to the Applecross pass and Torridon beyond. The cottage is very spacious clean and very well laid out. Fantastic outside space with amazing stunning views. Jenny is a very good host and communicates arrangements perfectly.

One of the best self catering homes we have ever rented.
The house was of a very high standard. The views were exceptional and you could easily spend hours looking out of the lounge windows. Very peaceful and relaxing. The house was immaculate and very well-equipped. The standard of cleanliness was extremely high. The owners are very helpful. We would definitely return to Moeraki.

Fantastic!
What a fabulous place. I went with my husband and two very good friends. We all loved Moeraki. The views are spectacular so much so TV was hardly watched. The sound of the sea was very soothing. Beds very comfortable, had the best 7 nights sleep in a long time. Would recommend bring binoculars. It had everything we needed, and was very clean. There are lots to do in this part of Skye and there was loads of information in the cottage the only problem was choosing where to go! Every where you went on Skye the Cuillin Hills were in view. There was very good communication with Jenny and would highly recommend Moeraki.

Absolutely Fantastic Holiday Stay at Moeraki
My sister found this beautiful place online and booked it straight away! What an absolute find offering spacious accommodation and everything you can possibly wish for! The views to the sea are spectacular and ever changing and just a wee walk to dip your feet or swim. We never stopped looking out and were delighted that it didn’t get dark until after 11pm. The location of Broadford served us well as it offers everything from restaurants, supermarket and souvenir shops so we were very happy with our surroundings and fell in love with Skye too .....on a personal note we would like to thank Jenny & Dave for putting love and care into what they offer in their homes we had endless laughter playing games, watching movies and just feeling completely relaxed in this home. It was such a pleasure to stay here and we would love to come back in the future...thank you so much 😁 it was amazing 👍

Wonderful holiday on Skye
Our family group spent a wonderful week on Skye based at Moeraki. The location is excellent and views from the house stunning. The house itself is excellent, fully furnished and equipped and ideal for all our needs. The booking and payment processes were excellent and lots of additional advice about Skye from Jenny were gratefully recieved. Highly recommended and would absolutely stay again.

Excellent accomodation with views and easy access to broadford
Well equipped, clean bungalow with stunning views. Great base to explore beautiful island. We particularly enjoyed being within walking distance of some great restaurants in broadford

Lovely, clean, and quiet Isle of Skye!
Our stay at Moeraki was wonderful. The house is huge and the view is spectacular! Easy walk to several restaurants (we did Creelers and and the Claymore) as well as to a grocery store. We easily located the house with the great directions provided and enjoyed all the space the house afforded. The bed was very comfortable and the house was spotless!

Sehr schönes Haus in toller Lage.
Wir waren für 9 Tage mit 7 Personen in Moeraki. Der Kontakt zu Jenny war schon im Vorfeld und auch während unseres Aufenthaltes sehr gut. Das Haus hat eine super Lage, direkt am Wasser. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Die Innenausstattung bietet alles, was man für einen Selbstversorgerurlaub braucht. Bei Problemen hat Jenny stets ein offenes Ohr, und versucht diese so schnell wie möglich zu beheben. Ich kann Moeraki definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Excellent holiday accommodation with stunning views
Very impressed by the house and views. Uninterruped views of the sea and mountains from all front of the house windows. Lovely sunny house and very spacious. Great bedrooms and showers.
We did the scenic railway journey from Inverness to Kyle and managed fine with public transport connections, buses and local taxis. Took the local bus to Elgol from the main road and this is a great trip for tourists. Also a few buses to Portree and Armadale from top of the road.
Short walk to the property from the main road and near good restaurants.
Overall, very pleased I found this property doing a google search and plan to visit again.

First class accommodation
We have just returned from a stay in Moeraki and have had an amazing weeks holiday.
The villa is spotlessly clean and has every facility you could ask for - well equipped kitchen , huge comfy beds ,lovely big lounge with plenty of comfy seating and fantastic views and it even has Netflix thrown in too - just in case you can tear yourself away from the lovely views from the windows !!!
Lots of different bird species were spotted along with the otter from the lounge and bedroom windows- the only thing missing were the elusive Northern lights but even Jenny couldn't arrange that for us !!
Moeraki was the perfect base for travelling to different parts of the island and was so cosy and welcoming on our return.
There are lots of places to eat nearby and in particular The Claymore restaurant,which is literally a couple of minutes walk away, provided us with an absolutely delicious meal and an easy stagger home afterwards !!!
I would recommend staying here to anyone thinking of holidaying on Skye and cant imagine you could find anywhere better.
If we return to Skye we will definately be coming back to this lovely cottage.
