Everything we needed and more. Very comfortable, warm and well equipped. Lillian made us very welcome.

Stayed for 5 days ...perfect accomodation everything you need all extremely clean and tidy....very well appointed and comfortable in a great location. Really friendly hosts who were so nice. When we arrived Lillian made us most welcome, explaining all, we settled in well, relaxing feeling at home. We had visited Lewis before, so the pressure was off, with just a few places on our to do list with only a few revisits. The weather was mixed, but that did not stop us from getting out & about. Would stay here again if we ever returned.

We loved our stay here. Very well maintained, well equipped, immaculately clean with better bedding and more attention to detail than the hotels we stayed in. Very peaceful and quiet, yet close to attractions and facilities. Lilian was a delight, absolutely nothing too much trouble with lot’s of nice thoughtful touches throughout the accommodation, including a little hamper, flowers and cloth napkins set in the kitchen. Thank you Lillian. :)

We had a wonderful stay at The Barn for our visit to Isle of Lewis. We have friends in Stornaway and wanted somewhere near to them. It was an ideal location for our plans to visit more of the fabulous island including Garry Bridge and the cliff walk to see eagles soaring, beautiful Uig Sands, Callanish stones and the Blackhouses to name a few. We also walked from Bogha Glas car park along the valley and saw two eagles, beautiful walk and satisfying outcome. Lilian was a perfect hostess and the welcome pack was gratefully received.

Beautiful views from the living room window . The accommodation was lovely with everything you needed and a welcome hamper .Lilian was lovely and very helpful .We had a lovely relaxing break .Lewis itself has some beautiful beaches and stunning scenery

A great base for sightseeing in Lewis & Harris. The barn hosts were most welcoming; nearby but also with privacy. The weather was sunny so able to experience the Island at its best. Would like to return one day and of course to the Barn. Thank you

Fabulous time. Beautiful accommodation, well equipped and fabulous views. Best of all wonderful hosts who looked after us especially when the car broke down. Lovely welcome hamper and some island puddings. Lillian and John couldn’t do enough for us and recommended some wonderful beaches to visit. We will definitely return And hopefully soon.

Very comfortable cottage which is very well appointed, with a fabulous view. Nice little touches like a welcome hamper in the fridge with all sorts of goodies. Dog friendly, and good proximity to Coll & Gress beaches. Close enough to Stornoway, but far enough away to have a country feel. Lillian is a lovely lady, and checks in from time to time to make sure that everyone is happy. Would thoroughly recommend this property.

Amazing views from the living area and a great location - close to Stornoway but with a remote feel (if Storoway isn't remote enough already!). Although worth noting The Barn is next door to the owners property in a small hamlet so it's not completely remote. The Barn itself was furnished with all we needed for a lovely stay in the Outer Hebrides, and even had a telescope for star gazing! Booking, check-in and check-out couldn't have been easier and Lilian very kindly sent our dog coats back to us after we left them there! The only negative was we were asked not to let the dog out into the garden unsupervised which did mean we had to get dressed to take him out for late night tiddles although that did allow for some more late night star gazing!
