IaIn was an excellent host, he was able to accommodate my early check-in and even allowed for a very late check out. He checked in with me to make sure everything was OK and the instructions for accessing the unit were clear and uncomplicated. The location is great with a five minute walk from a grocery store and six minute walk from the ferry terminal. Street parking was plentiful. The unit itself is well kitted out. The kitchen has everything anybody would need for several days stay. In addition to fridge, freezer, stove and oven, washer and dryer, there is a microwave, toaster, kettle, tea, coffee machine with excellent pods, (I was quite surprised as I am not usually a fan of coffee pods) milk, orange juice, bread and jam. The living room is bright with nice big windows looking out over the wee garden. There is a electric fireplace and a portable heater available if needed. The bedroom is large and looks out over the back area but has lovely heavy dark curtains to block out any light that might disturb your sleep. It was very quiet during my stay. The bed was very comfortable and there are extra duvets in a storage box if needed. The bathroom is functional and once I figured out the shower there was plenty of hot water. There were a lot of towels provided as well which was a nice touch since often that is what is skimped.
The Wi-Fi worked well, the TV had a lot of stations, there is a cupboard with books and games, and pamphlets of information that every tourist collects.
I would happily recommend this location and when I do come back to the Isle of Lewis and Stornoway, I would happily book in here again

Home from home
Enjoyed a short break to the beautiful Isle of Harris and Lewis and stayed here in the centre of Stornoway. The apartment is beautifully presented, well equipped and very clean with a welcome pack of basic provisions including a bottle of wine which was a very nice touch and gratefully received.
Communication with Iain and Marie was excellent as was the welcome when we arrived.
The apartment location is perfect with a short walk into the centre of Stornoway and an ideal base to explore the island of Lewis and Harris.
We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the Island.

Lovely self-catering accommodation
Immaculate accommodation in a convenient location in Stornoway with loads of on-street parking. Beautifully appointed and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Cosy apartment in good position in Stornoway
This is a comfortable apartment with very good heating, important as it was cold and wet during most of our stay! It’s well equipped and spacious for 2 people and the owners have given much thought to make it a home from home. The proximity to the town centre is good, with a supermarket within a few minutes walk. The welcome pack of bread, milk etc as well as wine was much appreciated. Thank you for a comfortable stay but pity about the weather.

Very Comfortable Apartment
We stayed at Plantation Rd for 1 week end of June. Booked via Airbnb.
This 1 bedroom spacious ground floor flat had everything we could possibly need. Large lounge and fully fitted kitchen with all modern equipment. Very comfortable bed and bedroom and fully fitted bathroom with lots.. of thick fluffy white towels.
Parking at the front door and a short stroll, max 10 minutes to the town centre. I also used the back green a couple of times to hang out washing. All very quite and peaceful. Sun in the morning in the bedroom and in the lounge when we got back at dinner time.
The owner Iain and his wife Marie are very nice and helpful and left a grocery pack including bread, milk, butter etc etc and a welcome bottle of chilled wine. Thank you.
We did enjoy staying here and will be back in Stornoway next year. No dates yet and we are fully aware that this flat is booked solid all year.
Would certainly recommend.

Perfect stay
We liked our stay very much. Nice Apartment, clean and equipped with everything you need. Good location. Getting in touch with the owner was easy and they are very nice and helpful.
We really reccommend this Apartment and would book it again!
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Schönes Apartment, sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Gute Lage. Besitzer sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir können das Apartment nur empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Perfect Stay!
Thanks for the friendly welcome and the perfect stay. The flat is situated near the city center but perfectly quit and with good parking. The surrounding is beautiful. We hope coming back soon!
