Shiantview is a 4 Star Visit Scotland rated self catering holiday cottage offering families and couples a very comfortable and peaceful stay in tranquil surroundings. Accommodation comprises of Kitchen/Dining area, Living Room, fitted Bathroom with separate walk in shower enclosure, Second Toilet/Sink Unit, Utility Room and Master Bedroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two large Bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. All bedrooms have portable TV's with Free-sat/Freeview installed. The Kitchen is fully equipped with fitted units. An oil fired combination boiler supplies domestic water and central heating. A starter food pack is provided. Soap, washing-up liquid, toilet tissues are included in the tariff. We even cater for all the other little extras you may require during your stay with us like salt and pepper, cooking oil, kitchen roll, cling film and tin foil. Guests are offered a bottle of wine. Garden comes complete with table, chairs and gas BBQ. We are pet friendly with a Max of 2 pets - BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT. Free unlimited W-Fi access. We can provide 2 sets of golf clubs if requested, free of charge. Beautiful stay

Really welcomed at the cottage which was lovely and very clean and well stocked for an island holiday. The location was just beautiful and owners really helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would highly recommend for a peaceful and adventurous stay!

Lovely house in a beautiful spot.

The house is very comfortable, scrupulously clean and very well equipped. The owners have thought of everything you might need. The location is really lovely, quiet and beautiful. There are golden eagles regularly to be seen, and I believe also sea eagles, though we missed...More

How to get there
How to get to Shiant View Cottage From Stornoway Airport or the Stornoway ferry terminal, take the A859 (Tarbert Road – South) towards the village of Balallan. On reaching Balallan, branch off and follow the B8060 towards the villages of Tabost, Cearsiadair, Gearraigh Bhaird, Grabhair and finally Orasaigh for a total of 15 miles from Balallan. When you arrive in Orasaigh follow on through the village and you will find the cottage on your right hand side. Shiant View is clearly sign posted and leads you up a short tarred driveway. Adequate parking is provided for 2 cars outside the property. If travelling from the ferry terminal in Leverburgh or Tarbert, Harris follow the A859 (Stornoway Road – North) and head for Balallan (Baile Ailein).
