Eranca cottage is as magical in the winter as it is in the summer , Come and enjoy a special Christmas and New year Hebridean style , where you can witness the beauty of the Island in all weathers. On arrival you will be greeted by owners Angus and Aggie, the cottage will have a welcome package of mulled wine and homemade mincemeat pies and on cold winter days fresh homemade soup with fresh rolls.
Our aim is for you to have a truly relaxing and magical holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of a busy life and taste the tranquility of the Outer Hebridies.
Just lovely here. Although the Atlantic threw everything at us we were cosy in Eranca. Everything you need and even a coffee blown out of my cup by the waters edge was memorable. A beautiful spot too when calm! Great location for sight seeing and hosts helpful and welcoming.

Small but perfectly formed
The owners, Angus and Agnes, were welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is done to a high standard and has all the facilities that you need. The views are glorious and we spent some time sitting on those chairs in front of the Loch. My husband managed to munch his way through most of the home made baked goods from Agnes and her mum!

A wonderful retreat with lots of extras
I would rate this at or very near the top of the dozens of vacation homes that my wife and I have experienced. The setting, the furnishings, the extras (home made cakes, fresh roses) that were provided added up to an unforgettable stay. We loved the island, and the accommodation simply made this a perfect stay. I do hope to return one day.

Peace & Tranqulity
Amazing location, it's a place where angels stay, there was one day where we had a pure rest, all we could hear was the birds flying about and calling out, it was one of those Heavenly Meditation moments where all we could hear was nature.
Agnes & Angus the perfect hosts, met them on arrival, both were typical islanders, being a Highlander they felt like family to my wife and I, could not fault the accommodation, nor could we fault the location.
Will be back for sure.

Cosy, comfortable cottage
We received a very warm welcome on arrival at this lovely cottage. Angus and Agnes were wonderful hosts - happy to help with advise on places to visit. The cottage is well equipped with a beautiful view over the loch. It was a very relaxing place to stay and we really enjoyed it.

Eranca Cottage
What a wonderful cottage this is!
Agnes has thought of everything to make it feel like home from home with comfy lounge area and bedroom. The luxury of a bath and a shower and the finishing touches of the welcome treats and gin!
The view from the decking is stunning.
Ideally situated for visiting the breath taking Callanish Stones, the white beaches of Uigg, Tolsta and on Harris. The Butt of Ness is definitely worth the drive.
Our visit to the Isle of Lewis and Harris will never be forgotten ❤️

Great location, lovely place
On the Loch shore with views to the north Harris and uig hills this is a great location to have a base. The cottage is a lovely place, bright and fresh with nice touches from the welcoming cake selection to the decking area for outside seating. Welcoming hosts and a week of great weather helped make for a wonderful holiday. And don’t forget a mile down the road to visit the callanish alpaca visitor attraction with duck rescue and chickens of amazing variety; each with a name and story the amazing guides will happily regale you with !

Lovely Cottage
We had a lovely week in Eranca Cottage. Angus & Agnes are a lovely couple, & made us feel very welcome. The cottage is in a brilliant position situated on a private road & right beside the side of the Loch. It was so close to all the main attractions on our list of must sees & not far from Stornaway. The cottage is warm, cosy , clean, modern & perfectly suited for a couple. The mini decanter of gin went down very well out on the decking in the evening and Angus’s sister in laws cakes were divine. Packed them up for walking treats. Just be aware everything on the island closes on Sunday. We were very lucky with the weather & the midges. All round brilliant holiday.

Fabulous Cottage in a perfect location! Incredible welcome and enjoyed visiting all the stunning beaches.
We have had the best time staying at Eranca Cottage, the location is perfect. A wonderful welcome and the home baking was just incredible! The Cottage is spotless and has everything you need. The Callanish Standing Stones are close by. We visited a different beach every day – all gorgeous. Delicious meal at Uig Sands and an enjoyable Harris gin distillery tour with more beach visits to end a fabulous holiday. Thank you Angus and Agnes.
