Golf , riding, walking , cycling all close by. Our housekeeper will meet you on arrival - we can provide afternoon tea or champagne on arrival on request . She will show you around and get you settled in - all beds made up to your requirements with towels/ linen and white company toiletries provided and then leave you to relax and enjoy your very own country retreat.11 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms provide an ideal luxury retreat for family gatherings, weddings, parties and business dinners. The housekeeper lives 5 minutes away and is on hand if needed. We are very happy to help with information on making your stay truly memorable . Just ask if you need anything.

Incredible Beautiful Mansion with great space Inside and outside
I cook here for clients that are renting this wonderful house every now and then I've helped people celebrate their weddings and family gathering many times since 2018 This year in 2022 I've been there already 4 times This is always one of my favourite houses Highly recommended

Spacious!
This place was booked by another member of the group for my sister-in-law's hen do and it certainly didn't disappoint! I'll start off with it being really easy to find. Even the members of the group who have difficulty finding new places did so pretty easily (thankyou to the owners for sending a picture of the gate to the house out for circulation round the group, as the directions were very clear but the driveway is slightly hidden by trees/set back at this time of year!) It's difficult to do photographic justice to the grandeur of the place. Spacious, well kept, well decorated. Kitchen space is great for socialising as well as cooking. Bedrooms all very comfortable. We could have quite easily spent all day relaxing on the sofas!

Great House for Large Parties
Our group of 21 people recently stayed at Toftcombs Mansion House and a great time was had by all! The bedrooms are all good sizes, as well as the communal spaces, which meant we had plenty of room for dining and entertaining all weekend. We had booked lunch in Biggar and the walk into town took no more than 20 minutes, so, location wise I would recommend this house to any group. A great stay with a great group of people and the owners were happy and prompt in responding to any queries we had.

Amazing Stay at Toftcombs!
We had a family group of 15 traveling Scotland for 8 days, 4 staying at Toftcombs. What a beautiful home, setting, ambiance, and luxury! Our ages were 15-74— whether we were cooking or playing games inside, or playing sports outside in the beautifully manicured grounds, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home! Jessie, my contact, was very prompt at responding to our every need—-including helping me arrange a grocery delivery from Tesco, hooking us up with the local Olive Tree Deli and Ovens Butcher in Biggar, and having lovely people come each evening to help with set up and clean up! Overall, a fabulous stay at Toftcombs—-highly recommend!

Celebrating Brian's 60th birthday
We have just celebrated my husband 's 60th birthday at the house over 2 nights. It's a wonderful place to bring family and friends together for a comfortable and cosy stay in great style. The vibe is happy and warm as soon as you walk through the door. Each room has it's own name and character and the views are wonderful. The crackling fires warm the people as they gather together to catch up and celebrate life. Thanks to Toftcombes and the staff for making our stay a very special one. We will never forget such a special place.

Perfect for family gatherings.
This beautiful mansion house is set off the road with lovely views from the front windows out over the hills and fields. It is very spacious, with doors leading off into so many rooms with character.....some of the paintings/pictures & furnishings are really lovely but quirky. The bedrooms are spacious & the beds are comfy. My family booked this so that we could all be together for my 70th birthday. It was fabulous & such a memorable stay. Toftcombs is in such a wonderful area of Scotland & I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Fabulous country house for a family get together
This was a fabulous house for a family get together. The perfect location for family travelling from various parts of central Scotland. The house exceeded expectations as did the catering service we were able to book through the property manager, Jessie. From the organisation in advance, to the warm welcome we received on arrival, we felt right at home. Highly recommended.

Fantastic
We stayed at the end of May & what a weekend. This is a return visit & again, we found the house to be perfect. Toftcombs is beautifully decorated & so homely & comfortable, with everything you could possibly want. Claire was fantastically helpful from the time of booking. Thank you for accommodating our party. We had an absolute ball.

Best Party Venue Ever
My husband booked this as a surprise for my 50th so that we could have all our friends under one roof. The house is fabulous. The bedrooms are beautiful, each with their own personal touch (ours had a secret turret), and the softest sheets and the comfiest mattresses. The kitchen was so well kitted out - we had everything for 16 staying guests and 45 party guests. We were particularly lucky with the Scottish weather and spent Saturday in the garden with lunch outside. Lots of the guests ventured into Biggar to shop, Stobo to spa and lots of lovely walks in the surrounding countryside. We reeled in the main hall and guests relaxed in the drawing room. Thank you Toftcombs - I felt like a Princess (and it was the 19th May!)

A true gem!!
We hired Toftcombs Mansion House as we were all in the area for a family wedding. Usually ones to go for a hotel, we wanted somewhere were we could relax and enjoy the bank holiday. Communication was easy and everything we could ever need was provided. You can even hire a butler, although unfortunately we weren’t around long enough to enjoy this luxury! Toftcombs Mansion House did not disappoint. The house is absolutely stunning and it well and truly exceeded our expectations! We were also blessed with good weather which meant we could enjoy the grounds of which there are plenty. You will not regret booking here!! Thank you once again and hopefully we’ll be back!
