The cosy cottage benefits from a loch view which you can enjoy while relaxing with your feet up in front of the wood burning stove after a day in the Scottish countryside. The living area is open plan with a kitchen, cooker island with breakfast bar, dining table and comfortable sofas surrounding the log burner. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering.A new decking has been built which can be reached by climbing approximately 30 steps and affords a stunning view down the loch. You can purchase fishing permits here for Loch Earn. There are two hotels in the village which offer evening meals if you feel like dining out (please note they have seasonal opening dates and times). The third one has just been purchased (Aug 2013) by Arran Breweries. It is reported that it will be refurbished and facilities will include a micro brewery, bar and restaurant. The bar is now open but again has seasonal opening times.St Fillans has its own 9 hole golf course, each hole is challenging and the scenery is breathtaking. There are many golf courses to choose from the vicinity including the prestigious Gleneagles. A little place of peace
This cottage is a refuge like no other1. Me and my dog have had the best time with quiet time walks and cuddles in front of the fire. The locals are so friendly and helpful too. Great view and walks! the cottage is bursting with character. You can really feel the care attention and love that has gone into its restoration. I will be sad to leave, the bed is comfy the sofa is comfy and the kitchen has everything you will need! A real homely experience. I can't wait to return!

Re-Booked Already - Ideal
This was our first visit to Craigdarroch Cottage and delighted we found it. We have already re-booked to return. It was ideal for the 2 of us in a quiet peaceful village with easy walks for us. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing time. Everything was spotless and the super kingsize bed great. Looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful Cottage
Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. We felt so at home from the moment we entered the property. Really well equipped and what a bed!! Massive!! St. Fillans is a great area to explore from, we travelled as far as Glencoe and Fortwilliam. Our two beautiful dogs thoroughly enjoyed their stay and the many walks. On a negative point, but nothing to do with the cottage, advice to other guests, I would not recommend eating at The Clachan Cottage Hotel in Lochearnhead. Very disappointing and really over priced. The only downside to our break at a five star cottage. We would love to return again. Thank you Ailsa. Tommy and Lynn Mahood Fur babies Poppy and Daisy (Mini Schnauzers).

Absolutely beautiful
My husband and I have had the most amazing time at Craigdarroch Cottage. From the moment of opening the door you could smell the freshness, the most spotless and best equipped cottage we have every stayed in with not one sign of any previous dogs having been there before us. No words could ever be enough to describe the beauty of this quaint little cottage which is in the most peaceful of settings, the bed is the most enormous bed I’ve ever seen and is sooooo comfortable- ticked every single one of our boxes so much so that we have made enquiries about booking a return visit, before we had even left the village - cannot praise Ailsa enough, very responsive to enquiries, queries - total experience from start to finish was faultless - the only down side was that we had to go home 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful abode x

Lovely cottage and surroundings
We really enjoyed our week here and would certainly look forward to staying again. The cottage was really comfortable and we had everything we needed. The little deck area built opposite the cottage gives lovely views over Loch Earn. The location is excellent and with a little local shop and a nice local hotel for excellent meals we were very comfortable. Would we stay there again- most certainly

A perfect break, just a shame it wasn't longer!
We stayed at Ailsa's beautiful cottage for only 3 nights and we were by no means ready to leave! We could have stayed for a week or more and next time we will. The cottage is warm and cosy with just the right amount of features and yet with modern comfort. The log burner was amazing, it warmed the cottage quickly and was very welcome after a long day's walking. The bed is very comfortable and we slept so well all 3 nights. The view from both the living room window, and the decking area are stunning. In fact, every brow you drive over and every corner you round in the area brings a new breath taking view. The cottage was spotless on our arrival and had everything we could have hoped for. Like I said, we just wish we had longer. We wi be returning on our next break to Scotland, which we are already planning. If you like walking, I highly recommend walking up Ben Vorlich. You will sleep well afterwards! 🤣

Great Stay in St Fillans
Craigdarroch Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break and has been refurbished to a really high standard. It is very clean, comfortable and dog friendly with great views over the Loch. The owner Ailsa is very helpful with any questions you have. Some great walks from the front door and a great location to explore other areas of Scotland. Highly recommended would definitely return.
