Cottage
Croftness Bothy is part of the old farm steading dating back to the 1860s and was lovingly upgraded in early 2017. The Bothy has a rustic yet modern feel to it. It’s light and airy yet still retains the traditional charm of an old cottage. The ground floor is an open plan kitchen, living room with a half height partition wall to separate the two areas. The kitchen has all modern conveniences such as dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and has all the equipment needed to whip up a yummy meal! Leading on from the kitchen is the living room consisting of a comfy wool chesterfield sofa and arm chair facing the open fire and Free Sat TV. There is also a bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor you will find the beautiful double bedroom with Smart TV and Free View. On the first floor you will find the beautiful double bedroom with Smart TV and Free View. There is also an impressive en-suite with double shower. Outside you have a private patio with hot tub, garden furniture and chimnea/BBQ to enjoy the stunning location that is Croftness. Croftness is within walking distance of the highland town of Aberfeldy so not only do you get a rural retreat but you can easily get into town for a meal or coffee without having to take the car! There is also lots of fantastic walks that you can start from Croftness. You can easily explore the famous Birks of Aberfeldy or head up Dun Hill for beautiful views onto the surrounding hills and down into the Tay Valley. If you'd like to include any guided walks or canoe/kayak trips please let us know and our sister company Ocean Alba can speak to you about booking an adventure. We do welcome 1 dog to the Bothy (for an additional £20 charge). Please do note our doggy 'rules': - please keep dogs out of bedrooms - we have free range hens, horses and sheep with lambs at Croftness so dogs must be kept on a lead when out and about - we cannot guarantee the patio is secure so please keep a close eye on your dog or keep them on a lead when using this space - dogs must not be left alone in the Bothy - we provide dog water and food bowls, dog towel and poo bags There are lots of dog friendly cafes and pubs in Aberfeldy and plenty of stunning walks from the Farmhouse to enjoy with your dog so it is an ideal getaway for you and your pup.More

About the neighborhood
Aberfeldy itself is a great rural town. We have lots of lovely cafes, coffee shops, bars, restaurants and even a community ran cinema! If you're after a more active stay Aberfeldy is ideal for pretty much any outdoor sport. You can find some of the best Munros on our door step as well as river rafting, climbing, biking, fishing, shooting, quad biking...the list goes on! From the Bothy itself you are under 1 mile from the centre of Aberfeldy . Please bring a torch in the winter months if you plan on walking into Aberfeldy. If you're in the mood to get away from it all there are beautiful walks from the Bothy so there's no need to even get in your car!
