We’ve just finished up a stay at Channel Vista for 3 nights and it was fantastic. It’s a lovely homely accommodation with everything you need. Karen the owner is more than helpful and accommodating. We have already booked for next year and hope to be back again over the winter.

Superb Views of Scotland, seals and dolphins from your very own front window,
Channel Vista is a very comfortable and homely place to stay, wether it's blowing a gale outside or the sun blazing down across the bay there is something to see every minute of the day with the ever changing conditions. we even watched the moonlight dancing across the bay making the whole bay look like a blanket of silver shimmering in the darkness of the early night.
During the day we were lucky to see seals and on one day dolphins which pleased the grand children no end.
There are plenty of places to visit without having to travel very far and as always in Ireland when eating out the food is good and plentiful.
Karen and her husband (the owners) were very helpful and nothing was ever to much they're extremely welcoming and we will certainly be going back if our circumstances allow it.

Mr
My wife, 3 year old son & I enjoyed Channel Vista immensely. Cottage was everything we required. View was spectacular. Price was a bargain. Karen was very helpful. All amenities were to standard. The drive to local villages along the coast road was beautiful. We would recommend it to all. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Nice house situated opposite the beach - lovely views and well placed for visiting places
The location was very good - it was on the scenic coastal route and well placed for touring. We walked to Glenarm Castle and the Walled Gardens which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The house was cosy and ideal for our group stay- we would visit again -

Cosy cottage by the sea
Uninterrupted views of the sea will mean you watching the world go by from the living room of this quaint and homely little cottage. Do not expect a mansion but this place has all your needs for a great stay and everything works ,even the supply of turf for the lovely open fire makes evenings very cosy and the lovely smell of the turf (peat) burning brought back so many childhood memories .Out the front door cross the road and you have the sea the beach at this point is rocky but you can walk on it.There is a bus stop about 20 meters from the house .There are 2 pubs within easy walking distance but neither serve food. Carnlough is the best place for that .The wifi was good and worked well. After a lot of thought the only thing might be the single bathroom, but we were a party of 4 staying for two weeks and we had no problems at all.The owners were very friendly and nothing was a trouble to them. We intend to go back in the winter to view the rough seas.

Views to die for
Channel Vista is a lovely little bungalow right opposite the sea in Glenarm. It is a little bit of a tardis with rooms everywhere! Clean and tidy on arrival and beds made up. All amenities catered for. I met Karen the next evening and she was lovely too. Parking not a problem. Lovely to go to sleep with the sound of the waves outside. We booked this as we had a family party nearby but you couldn't get any closer to the sea tbh and a short stroll into Glenarm village where there is a village shop and pubs. The Antrim coast road is a well kept secret!

About the neighborhood
The spectacular Causeway Coast, follows the cliffs and coves of the north eastern coastline of Ireland. Glenarm is the first of the famous ‘Nine Glens of Antrim’ and so is the perfect place to base yourself as you explore this breath-taking and often underestimated coastline. The Glens themselves are steeped in history and folklore with the UNESCO World Heritage ‘Giants Causeway’ just a scenic hour's drive away. In this direction you will also find landmarks such as the renowned Bushmills Whiskey Distillery or the dizzying heights of Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. If you fancy a trip to Belfast in the opposite direction it is also approximately 50 minutes’ drive away, here you will find a vibrant nightlife and a range of historical activities
Getting around
Ideally you will have your own or a rental car as public transport is not good in the Glens of Antrim

How to get there
Channel Vista is situated on the Antrim Coast Road in Glenarm Village. the address is 1 Channel Vista but google maps is not accurate and will direct you to the road behind the house if you use this method. Coming from either Belfast or the International Airport, which ever route you take when you reach Glenarm Village, stay on the Coast Road and the holiday-let will be clearly visible opposite the sea-wall with a BT phone-box at the foot of the drive way.
There is ample parking in the layby in front of the house. You can use the driveway too, but if you do please take it slowly as the hill is steep.
