We had a great weekend at The Cherry Orchard Retreat and Spa. Loved the simplicity and rural feel of this place. The owner was very helpful and attentive too!!

As always, we really enjoyed our stay at Cherry Orchard Retreat. The little cabin is perfect for a simple holiday. We appreciate the private garden space, William’s helpfulness and of course the hot tub. It is a short walk to a nice pebble beach and perfectly situated for exploring this beautiful part of Dorset. This was our third stay which speaks for itself.

We had a lovely time here over the May bank holiday. The property is based in the village itself up a pretty lane so close to the village shop and a good pub. It is in a great location for visiting Dorset and only a 15 minute stroll from Seatown a nice pebble beach with another good pub. The property is as advertised and shown in the pictures a wooden chalet/lodge but don't be put off by that we found it very quiet and cosy. The heaters in the lounge/dinning area and the bedroom warmed the property up quickly and efficiently and were easy to use. The bedroom has plenty of storage and the bathroom off the bedroom was spacious with good shower. The kitchen area in the lounge/dinning area does lack worktop space but there is a reasonably sized table which we used and we had no problem cooking breakfast and the odd dinner, we were enjoying the nice pub food the rest of the time. The hot tub and sauna are both well maintained and easy to use and we had a great time using both. Would stay again and definitely recommend it.

We had a good time at this property which has many possitives and negatives. Firstly, the owners are really nice and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and the jacuzzi and mini sauna are nice additions. The location is pretty good too. Having said this the property is literally a shed/glorified wendy house in a garden that has an ok finish bit is nothing fancy. You will also have to eat out as the cooking facilities are functional but not practical and many standard utensils are missing. The jacuzzi and sauna are also crammed into another shed and are getting a bit aged. All in all we had a good stay but I feel that it is overpriced which is why I only give 3 stars.

Worked very well for me plus 1 small dog. Access to garden was particularly useful: it was good to be able to let him outside and know he was safe.

Just come back from a weekend break at Cherry Orchard. This was our 3rd stay here and I cannot fault it yet again, If you are looking for a great place to recharge your batteries then this is the place. Tanya is so friendly and welcoming. We once again used her services in the spa. Hot tub and sauna were so needed to unwind and relax. We will be booking again and again and again.

I thought I had already submitted a review ? Enjoyed out stay in the cabin relaxing & cosy.Lots of good places toveat nearby so didn't cook !The George was excellent . Both of us had massages from Tanya who is excellent - highly recommended . Thanks to both Will & Tanya for their hospitality .

Lovely location - easy access to beach, pubs and shop so o need to use the car very much. Other beaches close by and only short drive. Fabulous walks and the weather was great which helped. Will land Tanya made us very welcome and the cabin was clean,cosy and gave us every thing we needed. We made the most of the lovely secluded garden and hot tub - lovely relaxing end to a day. Also had a massage from Tanya which is well worth it. Came home refreshed tanned and happy!

Booked a short stay for 5 days but only stayed 15 minutes! Cabin was a big disappointment, no work space in the very tiny kitchenette, there was large amounts of black mould and damp in the shower room and around all windows and doors. We felt the electrics within the cabin were very poor, as the cooker was inadequately wired and the fuse/consumer box is situated in the shower room amongst the damp and mould! Surprised to see the patio set from the 80's still there despite previous comments. The terrace/balcony only consisted or several concrete blocks which formed a step to access the cabin. Narrow entry path to cabin and "private garden" which was totally overlooked by other properties! "Pet friendly" would suggest the cabin was suitable for dogs, would have been if they had their voice box removed! Grounds also were not secure and therefore in our view not pet friendly. All in all very disappointed as our week off work was not the holiday we had anticipated. Luckily we were given a refund except the booking fee of £60, an expensive 15 minute holiday for two.

When we arrived at our destination, we were shocked. We assumed that it was a log cabin, but a wooden summer house. The garden furniture was old and unusable. There were no washing faciltities and limited cooking utensils. You had to book the hot tub which we were led to believe was ours to use. The owners were lovely and we had a lovely holiday, due to the lovely weather. We had to go out every day, due to limited space in the retreat. Overpriced!!!
