The annexe is a small, but perfectly formed, studio annex that provides comfortable and modern holiday accommodation. It was refurbished and newly furnished in September 2016. It has the most wonderful private hillside garden (which we are extending for summer 2017) sitting under a stunning Scots Pine, with spectacular far reaching views of Charmouth and Lyme Regis. To the right of the garden views over mature pasture. The garden is equipped with everything you need - BBQ, table and chairs and fire pit. There is off-road parking. Dog's are extremely welcome.

Very quiet location, stunning views and plenty places to visit. Would recommend Forde Abbey well worth a visit.

I am sorry to say that the annex didn't live up to expectations. Inside was damp, musty smell. Damp patches in corners of walls, around Windows. And even mold in the cupboard, which we only discovered after putting the lights on after the 4th day,...More

About the neighborhood
The annexe at West Bullen nestles into the side of Hardown Hill which is part of the National Trust. From the top of Hardown hill there are spectacular views across the Marshwood vale to the north, Lyme Regis and Charmouth to the south west and Golden Cap, Langdon Hill, Chesil Beach and Portland Bill to the south east. There are numerous coastal and countryside walks directly from the annexe should you wish a break from driving.
Getting around
Morcombelake has two regular bus services - X31 from Dorchester to Axminster and X53 that runs from Exeter to Poole.

Having use of a car is not essential but is recommended.

Bournemouth Airport - 52 miles; 1hr 20mins drive.

Axminster railway - 9 miles; 15 mins drive; also X31 bus connection to Morcombelake (Ship Knapp stop)

Dorchester South and Dorchester West railway stations - 21 miles; X31 bus to Morcombelake (Ship Knapp stop).

Morcombelake has two regular bus services - X31 from Dorchester to Axminster and X53 that runs from Exeter to Poole.

Having use of a car is not essential but is recommended. There is off road parking at the annexe.
