About the neighborhood
Beaminster is a pretty, bustling market town, 6 miles inland from the coast. Its Ham stone buildings lie nestled amongst the surrounding gently rolling hills and woodland.

We love the local food shops -- Angie's fruit and veg shop, Nick Tetts the butcher, the Evershot Bakery which does the best cobber loaf we know, and Le Vieux Four patisserie for delicious coffee and pastries. And there's also a smart little Co-op open 7am-11pm, 7 days a week for papers, groceries, drinks and other essentials. There are several good cafes and restaurants, such as the luxurious and cosy Bridge House Hotel. And there are plenty of 'browsing' shops too, including two branches of Cilla and Camilla with clothes, kitchenware, gifts and toys, Pomegranate with kilims and Spanis... more
