Cottage
Exceptionally well equipped, this pretty two-bedroom property has everything you need in a lovely self-catering cottage holiday. North Devon countryside outside your window. Geese, ducks and hens running around the pretty garden. A superb location for escape or exploration.
The cottage has Wi-Fi, a Freeview TV, DVD player and recorder and a music centre including CD player and radio. There are games, books, maps of the local area and an extensive range of tourist information leaflets. The kitchen comprises of an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and toaster. Bed linen and towels are provided, including tea towels.
Idyllic cottage in perfect spot ... with the delightful bonus of geese and chickens!
We booked our stay here last minute and couldn't have chosen a lovelier place to holiday if we'd tried. Hosts Tom and Charlie have created a comfortable, clean and cosy holiday cottage that's the perfect base for exploring North Devon. They offered some great local knowledge about tides, places to visit and spots to eat out. We loved being able to sit out on the terrace, the grounds and gardens are lovely and relaxing. Altogether, very highly recommended.

A perfect holiday retreat.
A beautifully kept, clean, delightful cottage. We were made to feel very welcome by Tom and Charlie.
The cottage itself is very very comfortable, with everything provided. When we arrived it was spotlessly clean, and very 'covid' safe.
The owners have numerous birds and animals kept in the field adjacent to the cottage - a pony, a sheep, and many ducks and geese, who all made our stay even more enjoyable!
Thank you Tom and Charlie - we will be back when next visiting Devon!

lovely quiet cottage
South Sandpark is a lovely quiet, comfortable cottage ideal for us on our recent visit to North Devon. The ducks/pheasants and the ram always provide you with something to watch. As we were visiting a relative close by i'm sure we will be back if the cottage is available when we next visit.

We had a lovely peaceful stay in a beautiful cottage. A real retreat from the wind and rain after beach and countryside walks. The landscape is stunning in autumn... but it would probably be even nicer in the summer. Hosts were lovely abd helpful and kept themselves to themselves. House was fully stocked with everything we needed. Only think was bath didn’t gave a shower curtain, so you could only really have a bath. Highly recommend!

A lovely place to stay.
We really enjoyed our week at Sandpark Cottage. The cottage is pretty, comfortable, well-equipped, and the owners are friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the fact that there were animals around (dogs, cats, a ram, ducks...), and it was great to be a short drive from the beach, but in a peaceful location. Highly recommended!

Lovely quiet central location
What a lovely tranquil location, you forget what real peace and quiet is like until you visit somewhere like Sandpark. A nice touch were the flowers and wine on arrival from Tom and Charlie really made us feel welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. Great character cottage with all mod cons "Mind the low beam in the kitchen" comfortable bed. We had a great time and loved the gardens.

Dog-friendly, cozy, convenient, comfortable!
We stayed at Sandpark Cottage at the beginning of July and had an awesome time. There were 3 of us and 2 dogs and there was plenty of space inside and out for all of us. The cottage is well equipped, very comfortable and located on a decent sized small holding with ducks and ram for company. Tom and Charlie live right next door in the main house and looked after us superbly, with lots of suggestions for beaches and restaurants! I rarely go back to the same place twice, if ever, but Sandpark cottage is most definitely worth repeat visits.

Beautiful, relaxing cottage with fantastic hosts
We booked a 3 night stay for the New Year weekend to escape the city and the fireworks with our two dogs and we couldn’t have picked a more lovely place to stay.
It’s a beautiful old cottage which was decorated for Christmas with lovely fairy lights along the beams (you have to watch your head on the beams if you’re 6ft) and it’s very cosy. There were fresh flowers and a nice bottle of red wine on the table which was lovely.
The welcome folder has all the information you need and includes a list of pubs and beaches with notes for each one so you can plan your trips and know what to expect- very helpful.
We arrived on the Friday without having had chance to pick up any food shopping and Tom very kindly gave us milk and a homemade frozen dinner for us both which was a lovely surprise.
The wifi is good. I enjoyed not having a mobile phone signal as this made it even more relaxing!
Our dogs were both made very welcome and they loved the walks along local beaches, Woolacombe is 20 minutes drive away and is very dog friendly.
Tom and Charlie are the perfect hosts and couldn’t have made us and our dogs feel more welcome. Thank you! If ever we are in the area again we will give you a call.

Combe Martin is just two miles away from the cottage and is one of several coastal villages along this stunning North Devon Coastline. There are dozens of local rural pubs to enjoy when taking a break from the miles of breathtaking walks across Exmoor and along the coast. There is also a wide range of family activities to enjoy as well as the miles of sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Saunton, Braunton and Croyde. A perfect countryside holiday with the sea on your doorstep.
Getting around
