Leat Orchard is on the edge of stunning Dartmoor, yet only 30 mins drive from beautiful beaches. Its minutes walk from beautiful Hembury Woods and the river Dart, majestic Buckfast Abbey, 5 minutes drive from the charming town of Ashburton and 15 mins drive from vibrant Totnes. The annexe is spacious and light and surrounded by beautiful nature and tranquility. The perfect place to relax after a day's walking on Dartmoor. Suitable for couples, small families, solo adventurers, and well behaved furry friends (pets). A woodburner has also recently been installed for cosy evenings by the fire.

We are very happy to give advice on places to visit locally. We are going travelling for a year as of mid July but our lovely friend Jess will be helping us with getting the annexe ready and being there to answer any questions. She lives just down the road and knows the local area really well.

Really lovely pet friendly self catering accommodation, nice and spacious living room, well equipped kitchen and lovely bedroom and bathroom. Lovely location on quiet back road, a short walk from the abbey and within minutes you are out in Dartmoor or on the steam railway,...More

The location down a leafy country lane was perfect. A warm friendly welcome, maps and advice when needed much appreciated. A great place to visit and enjoy the area from.

About the neighborhood
Leat Orchard is within the Dartmoor National Park. It has stunning walks on its doorsteps....the wild river Dart, beautiful Hembury Woods just around the corner, Dartmoor's famous Tors and many many beautiful places to discover. Many of Devon's beautiful beaches are also close by (30-35 mins drive). As well as tranquility and beautiful scenery to explore the vibrant small towns of Ashburton and Buckfastleigh are just minutes drive away and the alternative town of Totnes (it was the first Transition Town) is only 15 mins drive away with its many cafes, quirky shops and weekly market etc. Beautiful Dartington Hall is also close by with its beautiful gardens, cinema, pub and many events.
Getting around
If you are happy to stay local and explore the local area you would be fine without a car. Taxi's from the train station cost approx £15-20. I may be able to pick you up from the station.
