Mountain View apartment is a lovely,well decorated,Failte Ireland, 4 star approved , 1 bedroom,ground floor , holiday apt. to suit a couple on their own, or with one or two children ,or three friends traveling together .<BR>It is located on N67 , Galway city side of Kinvara village , close to Dunguaire castle , in a quiet ,relaxed location ,coastal route to the famous Burren region ,Cliffs of Moher ,Ailwee caves ,etc. and only 25 mins from Galway city .<BR> You can spend your days walking ,cycling ,or touring this wonderful,scenic area, visiting the many attractions , the new astro-turf all weather tennis /football pitch and children's playground ,playing a game of golf ,sit and relax on the quay area and watch the boats come and go , have a stroll around this picturesque village ...

Direkt am Wild Atlantic Way, Steinwurf vom Burren
Ein Raum mit Küchenzeile, Esstisch, Couch, TV, Radio. WEiteres Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und Einzelbett. Badezimmer mit Badewanne/Dusche,
Alles in die Jahre gekommen, aber die netten Vermieter machen das wieder wett.
Wenn man nicht zu pingelig ist, ist das ein guter Ausgangspunkt für die zahlreichen Erkundungen in Co. Clare, Co. Connemara und Galway.
Galway ist in 15-20 min mit dem Auto zu erreichen, man kann sehr zentrumsnah für 5 €/Tag parken.
Leider kann man zu Fuß von der Unterkunft aus keine Erkundungsgänge machen, da die Strasse dafür zu gefährlich ist.

maison assez bien
maison tranquille et agréable mais il manque un peu de vaisselle (saladier, casseroles ...), a deux kms d'une jolie petite ville avec différents commerces.

Good location
Mary and Michael are both friendly and welcoming , the cottage is comfortable
and wellfurnished.The kitchenequipment is not exactly 4 stars standard.
The location is good for trips.

A lovely place to stay.
A lovely little cottage run by an utterly lovely couple.
It is what it is, which is a small and budget friendly one bedroom cottage. That is what we were looking for and we got better than we hoped. The location is great for the West Coast things.

Everything you need
After several prompt and helpful email exchanges, we were warmly welcomed by Mary and Pat. The apartment, although directly on the main road, was equipped with everything necessary and spotlessly clean! Extra blankets were no problem and we just loved being able to watch the spectacular western sky during our evening meals. The quaint village of Kinvara was fantastic and the apartment is ideally located for exploring the area!!
We will highly recommend Pat and Mary, also their other (bigger) properties in town.
Thank you for a lovely vacation that allowed us to fall in love with Ireland and it's wonderful people!

Great place to stay
Stayed at mountain view apartment for a week in August. The apartment was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay
Mountain View self-catering is a great place to stay. It is spacious and well-equipped. The bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of storage space. The owners are amazingly friendly and even in self-catering you feel like one of the family. Kinvara is a lovely little fishing village with a supermarket, plenty of pubs and restaurants. However, it is about 4 kilometres away and the road is too dangerous to walk there, so you need to take a car. The surrounding area also has lots to offer, so the location is a great base for whatever you choose to do.

Great apartment and wonderful hosts
We have just returned from another wonderful week in the apartment, owned by Mary and Michael.
Kinvara is definitively worth a visit. It is a small town, where the local really have done a lot to welcome visitors and show their local culture. The Castle welcomes guests for both a tour town and a dinner banquet. The restaurants have great Irish food, there are lots of local art shops, colorful houses, music and all people are so friendly.
Going from Galway through Kinvara along the wild Atlantic shore Down to the Cliffs of More is properly the best sceneric, cultural and historic part of Ireland - for both smaller children and adults. My boys of 9 years really enjoy being there and there are lots to do. Both Galway and the Cliffs of More can be reached within 40 min. from the apartment and Kinvara is just 3 min. away by car. We have used the apartment as a base of visiting Western Ireland and Connemara for 2 years in a row, and I can highly recommend Mary and Michael as hosts. They are so friendly and the apartment has all you need as a Family for a good vacation. The beds are great. The apartment is clean. The supplies are outstanding - especially for the price. As a selfcartering apartment it has all the things you normally miss or have forgotten to buy - like soap, washing powder, toilet paper, salt, sugar, pepper etc. and that little extra also represent the hosts. They do give the little extra to welcome you, to make you comfortable and give good recommendations about things to do and where to go to make the best of a holiday. Highly recommendable.

Good base for day trips along Ireland's beautiful west coast
Mountain View is a very good accommodation for a couple or small family that needs basic amenities with the option to cook on their own. My wife and I stayed there with our 2 year old for several nights while we toured Ireland's West Coast from Kilkee to Connemara. It is possible to see the entire region by day trips using Mountain View as a base.
The hosts are extremely friendly and quick to accommodate requests. They let our daughter play in the backyard with their dog and toys whenever we wanted. Our daughter loved playing with Spot and the owner's children. This really made traveling with a 2 year old much easier.
The location is 3 km north of Kinvara and it is not possible to walk to town from the apartment although it is a very short car ride away. The wifi signal was also not very strong. These were the only shortcomings we experienced.
We were not able to use the fireplace due to our toddler running around, but it would be a very nice amenity if you are able to use it.
We were definitely pleased with our stay overall, particularly due to the friendliness of the hosts and the central location.

We will definitely return
My partner Mary and I are regular visitors to Kinvara although this is the first time we stayed at Mountain View. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and found the apt. well aired and heated. It is very well insulated and although there is very effective central heating there is also a fire place for those who like us enjoy the look of a real flame from time to time. The apt. has wi-fi and terrestrial TV stations. The adjoining house is also the owners main residence although they also cater for B & B guests also. If you're fortunate enough (and we were)) you'll meet with the most delightful children and their dog spot who also live at the main residence.
There is so much to do in this area which is within a short drive of the National Park in the Burren and the apt. is an ideal base from which to set out. We will definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending this apartment for those who prefer to go self catering.

Kinvara is a lovely ,harbour village ,overlooked by Dunguaire castle with its medieval banquets,held twice nightly ,from April till Oct.You can sit and relax on the quay area ,watch the boats come and go ,fishermen bringing in lovely fresh seafood for dinner later ,go for a walk or swim at nearby Tracht beach .<BR>Kinvara is the gateway to the Burren region, famous for its limestone rock formations ,and the many beautiful ,alpine and Mediterranean plants that grow there .<BR>You can drive to the fantastic ,Cliffs of Moher ,enjoy the breathtaking views of Galway bay enroute and wonder at the many contrasts that this area has to offer .There is a farmers market each Fri. morning from April to Oct.<BR>Kinvara is well renowned for its trad. music festival ,May bank holiday weekend and boat racing festival in mid Aug.
