Disappointed
Our cost to stay at Hummingbird Haven was higher than any of the other 10 Bed and Breakfasts we stayed at along the Natchez Trace. We could not access internet or get any phone service from the cabin. We were not able to get hot water in the bathroom sink or kitchen sink at all.
The place was cozy and Daisy was kind to drive us to the Trace to start our ride. Biscuits were nice, as was the milk and juice provided. Tony and Daisy allowed us to keep our car on their property for 19 days, while we vacationed in the Gulf after our bike ride.

Perfect peaceful place to rest and re-group from daily stresses
The cabin is set in lovely quite area where you actually get to see and hear all sorts of beautiful birds. Cabin very charming, clean, and has the most luxurious sheets that are the softest I have ever slept on. Fridge was stocked with fresh country brown eggs in lovely bowl, milk, juice, water, and all kinds of colorful fruits, and several choices of Starbucks Coffee packages. Fresh homemade biscuits had been made waiting for us, and a colorful plant on dining table with Happy Mothers Day written on it as a gift for me. The owners Daisy J and Tony are the kindest people who will see to it that your stay is comfortable, and most helpful in providing anything you may need, we were very grateful we could bring our 8mo. old Teacup Schnauzer. We shopped and ate lunch in Leipers Fork twice. You will find quaint antiques stores and several high end art galleries. All shops are pet friendly. Puckett’s has delicious Barbecue and home cooked food for breakfast lunch or dinner.
It was just what we were looking for to get away for a week. You will not find a better place to escape to! We have enormous gratitude to Daisy and Tony for providing not only this cabin, but for being so kind and generous to their visitors. We will visit again, for this cabin is just the place to go for rest and peace.

a quiet piece of heaven
Very comfortable cabin with all that was needed. Took a little while to get used to not having internet connection. But once we did, the quiet was wonderful. Watching the birds was amusing.

We enjoyed having you and Ellen, particularly your sharing your fun local adventures. We know having to walk out to the hayfield is Fernvale style cell service. It does give pause to disconnect a bit and focus on relaxing. Glad you adapted and enjoyed. Come again

So much nature and many little touches
When we arrived at the home of Tony and Daisy, he met us at our bike, introduced his self and took us next store to the nestled in hummingbird haven. It was so welcoming! So at home! Personal touches everywhere! Fresh flowers on tables, window seals in vases. And we had nature at every window! No phone, unless you walk down the road a piece but music and games in hand! No Tv. Nature and needed peace! A great sleep with nature sounds, not played on the iPhone! And a scrumptious organic breakfast! Daisy had cooked homemade biscuits and left them on the counter, fresh fruit and we scrambled up brown and white yard eggs! We were told to help ourselves to the organic garden if we wanted something in it. Some delicious blueberry and lime preserves or jam was in the frig!! Fresh milk and juice!! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this lovely country style haven to anyone!! Thank you Daisy and Tony. ❤️We will put this as a return place to visit for sure! Susan&Terry Tate

It was peaceful; serenity.
The cabin was clean, with country style atmosphere. They (the couple who own the property) had coffee & food in the refrigerator with fresh fruit on the table. They were very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed our weekend there and look forward to coming back during winter.

Glad you visited and enjoyed your stay. When we travel, a place being clean is a priority. We know it is for our guests as well! We make it every effort to see to it that the cabin is not only clean, but as sparkling as a 1952 cabin can be! . The country atmosphere just happens. See you this winter. ~ Daisy

Beautiful, Relaxing, Exactly What I Needed
For anyone maybe wondering if Hummingbird Haven is a decision you should make, I hope this review helps your decision. It is rare to find a place away from everything that allows you to relax, take in nature, and read without hearing planes flying overhead. Hummingbird Haven was exactly that, a haven away from everything and exactly what I needed to help recoup. Make the choice. Book the property and let yourself relax. This will be a decision you won't regret.

Wonderful Experience!
Dear Tony and Daisy, Visitors December 2013
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at your cabin! We know why we were called there -we belonged there...a walk back in time...a respite from the hustle and bustle. A place to spiritually connect to the past, connect to those that came before, and with ourselves!
It is definitely a place to rejuvenate, appreciate, and re-acclimate oneself. - We knew there would be no green grass, leaves, or spring flowers, but in the dead of winter that can't be helped. When we drove in, we personally just fell in love - we loved the Christmas lights in the yard and the porch lights just made us giggle like children. As we entered, we just kept saying "Wow"! The Christmas decorations, beautiful tree, candles and glittering twigs on the mantle; it all just matched us. The decorations were simple, beautiful, and we felt incredibly welcomed.
The cabin was rustic and wonderful. It was inviting with comfortable seating, bedding, and homemade quilts everywhere. All the rooms were warm and cozy making it very hard to leave to complete the "To See" list that we had for Nashville. Inside this respite there were comforts of a forgotten time, and some modern amenities-just enough to be comfortable. Old times glimmered with old pictures and books, original flooring and walls, handmade quilts, china, and mismatched old coffee mugs. Modern comforts made the visit not too rustic, thank goodness! There was endless hot water, a full kitchen, and an indoor restroom (a nice upgrade from when it was built).
It is a quiet community and the owners Daisy & Tony are as much as a treat as the trip itself. I see us traveling back; just to see our new, wonderful, loving, and knowledgeable friends! Anyone that is a history buff will love these warm proprietors! We will be back-and we will bring more friends!
Thank you, Tony and Daisy, for allowing us to share a little piece of your Paradise on Earth. Tim & Jennifer

Relaxing, soul renewing country. Down a hollow, a creek at the edge of the yard, flowers and very friendly neighbors if you decide to walk to the nearby river. Lots of birds to wake you in the morning, and entertain you as you have coffee on the screened in porch. Bowie Park with walking, bike and horse trails 5 miles away. Quaint Lieper's Fork with antique stores, art gallery, and great music at Puckett's Grocery is 8 wooded miles away. Historic, intriguing Franklin, 15 miles and downtown Nashville is 33 miles.
