Just imagine escaping on a vacation getaway to a real log cabin that is both quiet and secluded yet only 1/2 mile from Hill City's Main Street. Our property is in the "Heart of the Black Hills" so we are centrally located to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, and many other Black Hills attractions. My sister and I visited the gorgeous Black Hills and stayed at this cabin our last three nights. After spending the first part of our journey in traditional hotels we found this little hidden gem to be a true slice of bliss!!! The owner thought of everything and our stay was beyond pleasant. The property manager, Samantha, was so kind and helpful. Morning coffee on the deck was peaceful as was a glass of wine and mug of hot tea in the evening. Deer entertained us in the meadow below the cabin. It was tough to leave paradise but all good things must end so off we we drove. I am certain we will be back one day! Try Newton Fork Ranch, you will not be disappointed!

About the neighborhood
Hill City is centrally located in the "Heart of the Black Hills." If your search for South Dakota accommodations includes some of that famous Black Hills fishing, Deerfield Lake is just up the road. And Hill City, with its many art galleries, restaurants, wineries, and gift shops is only a half-mile from our cozy and secluded log cabin rental. Our property is an idyllic and restful hideaway where the absence of telephones and televisions recalls a slower and more peaceful time long forgotten.
Getting around
The most convenient way to tour and sightsee, around the beautiful and pristine Black Hills, is by car. Hill City is well-known locally for its restaurants, art galleries, unique shops, historic 1880 Train, and the museum at the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research. All of this and more is a casual stroll away via the Mickelson Hiking & Biking Trail.
