Delightful Visit
We spent a few days on the Old Leckie Farm. The property is incredibly beautiful and peaceful. We had a lovely time walking the farm and taking in all the history. Alison was an amazing host who shared many details about the property that made our stay the highlight of our trip to Scotland. The location is an easy drive or train ride to Stirling, Loch Lomond, Edinburgh and Glasgow. I left my heart there and will be back soon.

Wonderful Unique Place to Stay
All I can say is WOW! Staying in the cottage on the farm was a real highlight of our trip to Scotland. First, for the price you pay, the value is outstanding. It's a large, clean property with three bedrooms and 1.5 baths. You could easily sleep 6 in here, as long as you don't mind sharing one shower. Clean and well maintained, there are kitchen facilities and a combination washer/dryer. We made breakfasts there with some of the farm-fresh eggs, fresh bread with local butter, that was all a real treat. The workers here are all so friendly and helpful, we received a great tour of the farm that I would recommend not missing. It's in such a beautiful setting, waking up to the sound of the sheep in the morning was a treat. My wife even got to hold one of the baby lambs. I can't say enough about how great of an experience staying here was! The only minor drawback, the wifi was very spotty, so if you absolutely must have wifi, you might want to reconsider. But you're on vacation in Scotland, in a BEAUTIFUL location. Even for a guy like me that needs his tv, I didn't miss it at all.

What a Gem! Amazing stay and great location!
What a hidden Gem just outside Stirling. We spent the weekend at Old Leckie and the place is amazing. The accommodation is spacious and well kept with three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with an large shower and bath) and a very spacious lounge with a woodburner. The kitchen has all the utensils you need and theres a nice big table for everyone to sit at. Its right on the farm and the owner showed us around all the animals - the kids loved it. There's plenty of walks around the area and you can even walk into the small village (about 20 minute walk) and get some food at the local pub. There's plenty of countryside to explore and great if you have a bike. The owners were great, very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. There's also a Safari Park (although this closes in winter). Stirling is about 10 minutes away and from here you can get to Glasgow or Edinburgh in about 45-50 minutes. The property is exceptionally clean and there is place to park cars in the courtyard. They have good wifi. This area is really historic and located next to an old 15th (?) century house and there is also a nearby Broch (some two thousand years old). I really recommend this place! Fantastic!!

Loved our stay!
We stayed in early November and had a really great time. The cottage was beautiful and Alison and Fergus couldn't have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. They even organised a bonfire for us on bonfire night. We had young children with us and they loved the farm! The farm tour with Alison was the highlight for them (and us) during our stay. We had lovely walks around the farm and the nearby village during the days and cosied up in front of the fire in the cottage at night. We used their farm shop a lot. The produce tasted amazing so we ended up ordering lots of extra to take home . Would highly recommend old Leckie Farm.

Absolutely Perfect Accommodations
I could not have been any happier to book at the Old Leckie Farmstay. The farm and lodging were both beautiful. Located in the center of Scotland makes it perfect for sightseeing. Alison and Fergus were extremely friendly and very helpful with traveling suggestions. Upon opening the house we were greeted with fresh food from the farm (homemade loaf of bread, butter, eggs, and wine) which provided the warmest welcome I have ever received. Scotland was amazing and we had a great time seeing the sights but we loved the farm so much we are planning a future trip just to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the farm.

Farm stay
Just back from a 5 day stay at the lovely Old Leckie Farm near Stirling. Our family had a wonderful stay made very special by the lovely welcome we got from the owners Alison and Fergus who gave us a tour of the farm. Pigs, piglets, sheep, cows and hens what more could the kids want. The girls even got to collect the eggs which was a great hit. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, well equipped and warm so we were delighted with everything. The location was brilliant, so central to everything we wanted to visit. I would highly recommend this stay to all.

Wonderful!
This farm was such a great place to stay. Alison was an amazing host and we learned a lot about farming in Scotland. The farm house was very charming and well kept. My kids loved seeing all of the farm animals. It was also very convenient that we were close to Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Farmstay done right
If youre from the country this place will feel like home.. if youre from the city this is as real as it gets! No gaudy pretense, real working family farm with lots of daily excitement, or hunker down in the brand new, but very old, barn/guest house conversion. Alison and Fergus welcomed us into some of their daily activities but the accomodation is also well set-up for privacy.

Just wonderful!
We had an amazing 3 nights here with my parents and our two kids (5 and two and a half). Alison could not have been more helpful and we had a lovely tour of the farm. The highlight for the kids was collecting eggs from the hens, which we did several times each day! Thanks for a great holiday. We are hopeful we will get to come back!
