The lodge was very "user friendly". It was spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was a definite plus for our weekend stay. We were there for our son's graduation from Penn State. The price was similar to hotel rooms in the area so it was a bonus to have a kitchen, living room and dining room. It truly is right...

About the neighborhood
Situated directly next to the Black Moshannon State Park which offers many outdoor activities: hiking, biking, kayaking, boating, snowmobiling, fishing, ice-fishing, ice-skating, hunting, and many education activities. The Lodge is centrally located just 20 miles from Penn State University and 8 miles from Philipsburg, PA. The Lodge has many conveniences of home. We provide a full size kitchen and appliances. Also provided are towels, linens, and bedding. The Lodge is equipped with a TV with access to Direct TV and a six person Hot Tub. Each rental from April 1-October 31 has full use of a 3 person Kayak! The Lodge is also pet friendly for a $25/night fee.

From South Eastern, PA (Harrisburg): Route 322 West/220 South. Take exit 68 Grays Wood/Waddle Exit. Follow orange signs for Skytop Business for 5 miles. Take RIGHT onto ALTERNATE Route 220/Route 80 Milesburg. (take the 'local way' below or take the following route) North for 5mi. to Julian then LEFT at Black Moshannon Park sign in Julian (onto Beaver Road) for 8 miles to park. Turn LEFT onto Route 504. Lodge is at the top of hill on left.
The 'Local WAYS': Go North for about 1 mile. LEFT onto Steele Hollow Road. Go 1.3 miles stay LEFT at the 'fork' in the road. Go 2.9 miles to top of the hill. Make sharp LEFT.Go 4 miles to stop sign - Follow Black Moshannon Bog on left - Make LEFT onto Route 504. Go up hill and lodge is on top of the hill.
