About the neighborhood
Dorrigo is a beautiful mountain plateau. Green rolling hills, mountain views, waterfalls and the Dorrigo National Park heritage rainforest. There are numerous walks and drives in the surrounding area. The trip up the Dorrigo mountain road though windy is a marvellous sight, featuring views through the rainforest and waterfalls to the sea. The town of Dorrigo has numerous cafes and restaurants providing yummy meals and coffee. Next door to the cottage is a wood fired bakery. There are two hotels and the RSL club also provide meals.
Getting around
No public transport to speak of in the country but once you arrive you can walk to most places it's in the main Street. The supermarket is steps away out the front gate. Dangar Falls is a 30 min walk. However if you want to explore further a field a car is recommended. If your goal on the other hand is to kick back and relax, read books, have a quite drink across the road perhaps a meal out.. well then not really hectic have a car.
