It stands in a prominent position, just a stone's throw from the beach and an ideal base to explore the miles of Cornish coast and countryside. To the west are the quaint fishing towns of Looe and Polperro and to the east, the spectacular Rame Peninsula.

We booked the house for a week in October. The house is beautiful, contemporary in style, with good quality furnishings and neutral colours. Well equipped and with matching number of bathrooms to bedrooms it works really well. Booked at the last minute and never been to Seaton before, but we loved it. Driftwood is very well furnished and there is everything you need to self cater for the week and more, although the restaurants and cafes nearby are really good value and excellent food (especially Waves). Over 3 storeys this is well fitted out and comfortable house - its just over the road from the beach and a play park is opposite. There is a pub and restaurant almost next door. Its got good wifi and TV. Sally is really easy to deal with and helpful.

A £200 returnable cleaning/breakage deposit is required. We are happy to consider short breaks at less busy times. 1 week breaks are available for up to 2 people in low season weeks in the ground floor only, which has no balcony views and limited cooking facilities - please contact for tariff and details. Well behaved dogs are welcome at a charge of £30 per dog to cover additional cleaning. Driftwood is a strictly no-smoking property; this includes on the balconies and in the garden.

How to get there
Please be aware that as you get closer to Seaton SatNavs may take you an alternative route which does involve some very narrow country roads, where there are few passing places. This is the route we recommend coming from Plymouth along the A38, follow signs to Looe. At the Trerulefoot roundabout, take the first exit to Looe onto the A374. After approximately a mile turn right to Looe and Seaton Valley Country Park on the A387. At the village of Hessenford turn left (opposite the Copley Arms Pub) and follow the valley road into Seaton (B3247).
