We have just spent 4 days in this house over Christmas and it was absolutely lovely. The house itself is so spacious and even with 8 of us there was still so much space. Bedrooms very spacious with comfortable beds. House clean and has every kitchen gadget you can think of as well as games for the kids, cots stair gates, surfboard and more. A large Christmas hamper was left by the owners for us and we were extremely touched by that. You really have thought of everything in this home. Recommend this house to anyone. We can't wait to stay here again.

Brilliantly located, comfortable house
We had a brilliant holiday and were really impressed with the house: it was clean, spacious, nicely decorated and very well furnished (especially the kitchen which had everything you could possibly need!). It was a great place to stay with children, with highchairs, travel cots, bed rails etc. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the village pubs and to the coast and would love to return and explore the area more.

Amazing
The house is so clean, tidy and cosy. It is in a lovely quiet location and very close to the beach. The bed was extremely comfortable and all facilities were excellent, the local shop is within walking distance. Parking space outside the house was very convenient. My family had a fantastic time staying here with friends, definitely will book again and would 100% recommend to family and friends.

Ridgeback house is one of the most well appointed holiday houses I've stayed in. The space was really comfortable for 8 adults alongside toddlers and babies. The kitchen is a great space for socialising and had everything we needed to prepare our New Year's meal.
We particularly liked the proximity to local hotels with their spas and pools and the fact that we could walk down to the beach as well as to the village pubs and shop. Highly recommended!

Lovely holiday retreat
Had a lovely stay in Ridgeback house, great location, just a short walk from the coast and lots of activities! We've been here twice now over the last few years and have rented bikes, visited the beaches, local towns and food markets, been kayaking and visited the cider factory which was a lot of fun. I think the great point about this place is that you can have as relaxing or as busy a holiday as you'd like here, you'll never run out of options whatever your taste.
The house itself is the perfect base, spacious, clean and has a great open plan kitchen/diner for socialising with friends and family which leads out to the garden where we had a BBQ one evening. The 4 rooms and 3 showers gives groups of friends or families plenty of space to hang out in the social areas but still have privacy which was great...and no queues for the shower!!
Lovely cream teas provided on arrival, what a nice touch! And surfboards and pool table provided downstairs. Perfect!
Great stay, wel be back :)

One fantastic place to stay in a wonderful area of cornwall
This place. Wow. Just wow. My wife and I stayed here with friends for a week back in may. Room for 4 couples, or two with kids as was our party. Massive lounge, huge dining table, impressively appointed kitchen. Great secluded garden. (Fun water fight with provided pistols) lovely gas BBQ. Three showers and toilets. Games room with surf equipment. So much good about this property. Down side you ask? Erm... I want to say I don't live there. Would stay there again and our friends have now been a couple of times. Also caroline was very helpful during booking process and went beyond the remit of her duties to help.

Ridgeback House is only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Mullion which is the largest village on the Lizard. Facilities include 2 convenience stores with bakery, post office, hairdresser, gift and craft shops, art galleries, restaurants, bistro and cafe, fish and chip shop, pubs, free car parks and garden shop.
The coastline is designated as one of Outstanding Natural Beauty by the National Trust, with access to beaches and walking. Trenance chocolate factory and craft workshop is a very short walk towards Mullion Cove which has a pretty working harbour; you can still see the old pilchard cellar and net store. Fishing trips are available.
The beach at Polurrian is a 10 minute walk from Ridgeback House, it is popular with surfers, approached by an attractive walk along the cliffs or through a valley. Nearby is Poldhu Cove, an ideal and easily accessible family beach. Kynance Cove is a short drive away or can be accessed from the coastal path. Surf board and wet suit hire available in the village.
Church Cove as its name suggest has a church nestling near the beach and is close to the Mullion Golf Course which offers a cliff top experience with views towards St Michaels Mount.
