Now fully refurbished in 2022 - Thatchview Cottage is a traditional Cornish farmhouse set in the charming hamlet of Trevelmond south of Bodmin Moor. It offers a well connected base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer being less than 5 minutes from both the A38 and the A390. Beaches and the popular seaside town of Looe can be reached within a 20 minute drive. Both the picturesque, estuary town of Fowey and the world famous delights of The Eden Project are but a 30 minute drive.
Thatchview Cottage offers all of the exposed beams and charm you could expect of an eighteenth century Cornish cottage with inglenook fireplace, wood-burning stove and Rayburn Range. A Perfect Holiday Cottage in an ideal location
This is a beautifully appointed cottage in a great location.
This cottage is ideally located because it offers easy access to both the north and south coasts of this part of Cornwall, as well as Bodmin Moor. It is also extremely easy to find being located 5 minutes from the A390 in the peaceful hamlet of Trevelmond.
The cottage itself is a traditional Cornish Cottage, that has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Situated at the end of a quiet row of cottages, it also offers private parking and outdoor areas to enjoy. Over the years we have stayed in many cottages within a few miles of this one and Thatch View, on any measure is superior to anything we have stayed in.
The owners have created a real home from home - we were wowed from the first moment. It is also pet friendly - evidenced by the fact that they are catered for in the wonderful welcome hamper!

Thatched View Cottage, Trevelmond, Cornwall
Lovely peaceful location - wonderfully equipped cottage - loved the kitchen with the Rayburn - only negative was the ‘very creaky’ bed in master bedroom, which, being a light sleeper, was quite unsettling. However, would highly recommend. We had a wonderful holiday.

A nice homely cottage in beautiful part of Cornwall
Thatchview is in a wee village quite close to Liskeard in Cornwall. We were down in Cornwall researching our ancestors who lived near Liskeard in the old copper mining area. Liskeard is a nice town - it's got a great museum. We went on a nice train ride from Liskeard to Looe by the sea. There is a place you can visit to find out about the mines at Minions on Bodmin Moor nearby. Plymouth is about 40 minute drive away and well worth visiting. The cottage was clean and the wifi was good, and sky TV was good as well. If you were stuck in because of the rain the owners had left a great selection of books, and DVDs, and some board games. It was a great holiday, and we would definitely come back here to stay.

Trevelmond is a charming little hamlet allowing easy access to the striking scenery of Bodmin Moor whilst also being within a 20 minute drive of the coast and the bustling fishing port of Looe.
Fabulous walks and wildlife are available on the doorstep of this very private Cornish cottage in addition to easy access to the major routes to explore all of Cornwall.
Getting around
A car is very much recommended but the local railway station of Liskeard is merely a 10 minute drive if you would prefer to travel further afield without taking your vehicle.

The hamlet of Trevelmond is easily accessible from both the A30 or A38.
The cottage is but a few minutes drive from the main A38 route from Plymouth into Cornwall so you can be settled in Thatchview within half an hour of crossing the Tamar Bridge (traffic permitting of course).
