The property needs a little updating uncomfortable beds, uncomfortable settee. Cooker kept switching off when preparing meals. Just needs a little make over and cleaner needs to be aware that should be clean for the next guests.

The property was only renovated 2 years ago. If there was any maintainance or cleaning problems I do wish you had made me aware of this at the time. Daphne looks after the property for me and lives nearby to ensure any problems are quickly resolved. I have to say I have always found the beds comfy but beds always differ from what people are used to back home

This accommodation was ideal for our week's holiday in Cornwall. It was spotless, well decorated and we felt at home straight way. Even though it is attached to neighbours on both sides, we never heard any noise from next door. We enjoyed the use of the hotel facilities, especially the swimming pool. The setting of the hotel grounds is beautiful and surrounded by greenery.

I am pleased to hear you had a lovely time at my property. It is an ideal base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. Plus there are several onsite facilities

The only positive thing I can say about this property is that it's well located. This property is a hell hole. Firstly, this is not a 'villa.' It's more of a chalet and has the feeling of a static caravan. Normally in a house, you have walls thick enough that there is a window sill, but the walls are the same thickness as the window, so very thin. It's a terrace of similar properties with a property either side. The place has been done out very cheaply. The dining table and chairs are so cheap and nasty, that they wobble as the plastic bends. In fact, we were missing a dining chair when we got there and on contacting Deanna, it had been found broken and not yet replaced. It was not replaced during our stay at all (even though we informed her of the problem on arrival). The 2 main issues with this property were that it was incredibly damp and it wasn't clean. The damp was the biggest issue though. Upon entering the property after a long drive down, we were immediately hit with a wall of musty, damp smell. It was awful. I turned to my husband and burst into tears apologising as we'd clearly been done. After paying Deanna, she sends you an information sheet asking you to have the windows open a little to alleviate the condensation, but this is full on damp. We had the windows open when we were in, and on the latch when we were out and the damp smell never left the 2nd bedroom or the bathroom. Our towels never dried whilst we were there. There was mould growing in places around the property (such as the back of some of the curtains). The day after we returned home, my husband became ill with flu like symptoms, and now my 5 year old son is ill. I wish we hadn't stayed. We should have turned around straight away, except it was late and the kids needed to eat and go to bed. The cleanliness was also a big issue. There were long dark hairs all over the place (we're all blond), there was food debris in the fridge, I wiped the draining board over and a load of visible dirt came off on my cloth etc etc. It was just disgusting. I contacted Deanna about a couple of maintenance issues whilst I was there (light bulbs were not working from our arrival and the hob kept breaking during use), but I admit I didn't contact her about the damp and cleaning issue until we returned. I didn't contact her because the damp issue needs a surveyor and this would not be rectified any time soon (so totally pointless), and why would I want her cleaner back in when it's clear they were incapable of doing their job anyway. I resorted to clean up instead so I knew it was being done properly. It is very evident this property is not cared for. This is a money making exercise only (she owns other properties in Tenerife). Our hearts literally sank when we walked in and knew that we were dealing with someone who doesn't give a damn. The response I've had from Deanna since I've returned has also been appalling. She has not apologised, and in fact has implied it's my fault as I didn't contact her during our stay there. She claims she knew nothing of the problems. This property is listed on HomeAway on 2 different listings. One of those listings mentions the cleaning issue and the other mentions the damp/musty smell (and this was in 2016)! She has even commented on the review so has clearly read it. If you read the guest book in the property as well, other people mention the problems (the damp made another child ill in 2017). She claims the damp must be due to bad weather which is outrageous as a property needs to be able to withstand the weather, The reason why there are not many reviews of the property is because she encourages you to book outside these websites where she advertises, thus meaning you can't leave a review. I have requested a partial refund but I won't hold my breathe. I leave a number of reviews of places, and you can see through my many reviews on Trip Advisor I have never left a review this bad about somewhere. My expectations are not outrageous. This place should be removed from all listings websites as it's not fit for humans to live in it. Deanna Dewey - you should be ashamed of yourself!

I have only just seen this review. I mostly receive positive reviews. No comments were made about a problem with damp etc during this guests stay. I do say it is best to keep the windows on the latch during the summer months to allow ventilation. Unfortunately, this guest experienced very bad weather during their stay - it rained practically everyday. Damp coats/towels etc cannot help. The property has been rented many times since with no complaints. It was completely redecorated in Spring 2019.

This property is so peaceful - set in acres of grounds you would not realise there are several of these little villas. We were in a block of 3 and even though the other 2 had people staying we did not ever hear them. As the weather so so warm it was lovely to have our own patio table to sit out and enjoy the sun. The property is south facing so gets the sun most of the day. The hotel pool was a really good size and we certainly enjoyed this during our stay. There was a tennis court and badmintion and many other features which we did not use. The kids liked the games room and the bar in the hotel was great to chill out in the evenings. We had a bar meal in the bar - the restaurant looked nice but we did not use that on this occason. It was only about a 15 minute drive to the nearest sandy beach. Recommend the Mason Arms in Camelford for a good cream tea. We will definately come back to this lovely peaceful property.

This is our second stay in this lovely holiday home we just adore how nice and peaceful it is. It's a lovely base to explore the area offering endless coastline and countryside options on foot, bike or by car. Being out of season when we stayed (and the price kindly reflecting this) as you would expect not everything was available but having Bowood Park literally next door and a lovely pub in Camelford plus squash and badminton on site there is always plenty to do in all weather's! Or if for some reason you just want to chill out and watch tv it had lots of free view channels to choose from so spoilt for choice really! We didn't want to leave really but we have already booked for our next visit later on this year!

We chose this particular holiday residence because Sky sports 1 .2. 3, and F 1 were Quite prominently advertised. However, no instructions were made available to obtain this on the t v. It was necessary to phone the owner for advice on the use of this facility, but on doing so I was informed that she had no idea how this was obtainable. "but my husband knows how to do it, but I've never seen it done" We were also told that this facility was supplied through the hotel, and that we "should be able to figure it out for ourselves". It was quite obvious that there was no transmission of this nature at that time. A second phone call was also fruitless, and no assistance was offered. I suggested that perhaps the owners husband would care to help, but that fell on deaf ears. We tried to get some advice from the hotel, but it was closed. On a further visit to the hotel we managed to contact someone who informed us that sky would be "switched on maybe the day before we depart". As most of the other facilities were also closed they surely should not be advertised. Our holiday was not provided with what was expected, or as advertised. Our request for some sort of compensation has so far been ignored. A ruined holiday !! A very dissappointed Jm Wellfare. East Sussex

I have been renting the property throughout the year for over 2 years and I was completely unaware that Sky Sports was only available when the hotel is open and I can only assume that other people did not want to use it - we rarely use it ourselves. There are plenty of other FreeView channels available. You did phone me and I explained that Sky Sports was not on the FreeView channel and it was probably on one of the other AV channels. I heard nothing from you for a few days when you telephoned again and you insisted my husband go and sort it out - we live 200 miles away so I suggested you speak to the hotel as there are staff around even when the hotel is not open. You spoke to the hotel the same day and were told Sky was only on when the hotel was open. I then contacted the hotel myself as I was unaware of this and they arranged for the system to be put on a couple of days earlier for you. You telephoned me before you arrived and I reminded you that some of the facilities are only open when the hotel is open but Bowood Park is open right next door! So you were fully aware and you actually mentioned you used to play golf there. You could have stayed there as you knew it but it is much more expensive. I would point out that I offer a much reduced price during the off season to allow for the fact the hotel itself is closed - like much of the UK there is a holiday season in Cornwall and you went out of season. Bowood Park Golf Course and Hotel is next door is open to everyone and has a bar and restaurant etc. Saying this there is still much the site offers. Even though the actual hotel closes the villas are separate from the hotel and are still regularly used and of course the free WiFi is still up and running. The launderette is still open as are the squash and badminton courts etc and the acres of grounds and close proximity tourist attractions - some of which will only be open for the season. But the property is fully operational all year around and ideal for walkers or people wanting to use the great cycle routes or play golf etc. You said yourself that the actual villa was lovely and I think to just give it 2 stars when you didn't receive Sky Sports for a couple of days is rather unfair.

My husband and I took our youngest on holiday for his last holiday before starting high school and couldn't have been happier. This is a lovely place in beautiful surroundings and was definitely a home from home. We are fully intending to book again for 2 weeks next August. Highly recommended

Myself and my husband booked our break at very short notice with Deanna the owner, who was extremely accommodating. We booked for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. We arrived quite late at night, but thanks to the clear directions we received upon booking we soon arrived in the carpark which offered plenty of secure parking not far from the villa. Villa 9 is set back in lovely grounds creating a peaceful and relaxing environment offering the perfect get away. It is like home from home, fully equipt with home comforts, very clean, well maintained and private. The beds were very comfortable and the built in storage were great. We also loved the sea side personal touches throughout. The complex is conveniently located to explore the picturesque cornish coast whilst sampling the pasties and cream teas. Trago Mill just 40 minutes away is a must see! Alternatively there is lots of on site activites available, we even had the games room to ourself one night! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful villa to anyone wanting to escape busy life, relax and explore.

I really cannot rate this villa highly enough as such great value for money. Brand new kitchen and bathroom and lovely modern ash laminated flooring. Some places on this site look a bit tired inside but I can highly recommend this owner and this villa. Everything was clean and it was great having Sky Sports and F1 on the TV as it meant my husband was happy. Also good to have the free WiFi to keep in touch. The site is well maintained and ideal for young children to run around outside the property. Even though there were a few other people staying the site is lovely and quiet and ideal for those looking for a peaceful break in the countryside. The weather was glorious and we even managed to go swimming in the sea - there were several beaches within a 15 minute drive so the best of both worlds beach and countryside. The hotel itself was closed when we arrived but we used the bar etc at Bowood Park - which is next door and an easy stroll. The games room, tennis and badminton etc was still open on the site so we had a great time. The fish and chips in the Award winning fish and chip shop in the village were great and so was the food in the Masons Arms. We had one rainy day and took the children to the indoor pool at the Leisure Centre in Camelford. had a fantastic time and will certainly be back and will be recommending to friends.

This chalet was in a small block of 3 surrounded by garden and so peaceful. I was slightly apprehensive as a hotel park is not my usual choice - but I was pleasantly surprised. The whole site is lovely and quiet and I was thrilled as it was mid August. There were other people staying but the way everything is laid out you had the feeling of space and tranquility. A wonderful relaxing break - which we really needed. It was lovely to wake up each morning and look out onto the gardens with just the sound of the birds. My husband likes golf and there is a golf course right next door. This was a budget holiday and I have to say it was one of the best short breaks I have had. It was also great to use the facilities at the Lanteglos Hotel and the children loved the swimming pool and the bar was a great place for a relaxing evening drink. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked very nice. The 'villa' as they are called had been recently decorated and everything was clean and the bedding and co-ordinating curtains seemed to be brand new. I saw inside some of the other villas and they needed refurnishing but the one we stayed in was lovely. I will definately be recommending villa number 9 to family and friends.

Pleased to hear you had a good time. Since you have stayed the villa has had brand new laminate flooring throughout (except the bathroom which already had a newly tiled floor). A new kitchen is being fitted in October. which will make this villa even better value. We have also purchased a patio table and chairs so guests can sit outside and enjoy the sun (the property is south facing so gets the sun most of the day).
