Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and well appointed. Spacious garden. Comfortable walk to the village of Camelford, but the A39 is a busy road without a crossing at the Tregoodwell junction. Situated in a great spot for exploring the Bodmin moor and Rough Tor. Really easy to get to Tintagel but could have wished for accommodation nearer a beach. We...

Thank you for this review, we much appreciate it. Yes, we are not within walking distance of the beaches but on the other hand there are the wonderful riverside and moorland walks from our door, and the two nearest (great!) beaches are only a 12 minute drive away. We do hope you come again.

Lovely cottage in good location for touring this part of Cornwall.Easy walk into camelford for shopping etc. Very well equipped and warm. Really attractive house, good standard of furnishings, had everything we needed. Very good rental for our dog as Tregoodwell had lots of nice walks from the door. Warm and cosy in winter, wood burner, open fire, water and...

We were really sorry that you were unable to use the Wifi, but very glad that despite that and some inclement weather - which almost certainly caused the phone line fault -you enjoyed staying at Tregoodwell Cottage. It did take BT their full 3 days to fix it but by then I think the weather had improved anyway so you...

I have lots of family in the Camelford area so booked this cottage via a holiday rentals website. The cottage is located in a small, very peaceful and quiet little hamlet literally just outside Camelford town centre which has everything you need for a week's holiday (Lovely chip shop, indian, Co-op for groceries, local pub "The Masons Arms" which does...

Management response:

We are very pleased that our guests enjoyed their time at Tregoodwell Cottage and wish to return. Responding to the points raised: There should have been adequate linen provided, the bathroom should have had a bath mat and the fire grates should of course have been cleaned. We will address these matters. We had provided a Wok instead of a...

Additional amenities & feature info
The modern Kitchen has quartz work surfaces and looks out over the Garden. The kitchen range now has a wood burner which belts out heat, but the old Cloam Oven (for making bread) is still there, alas not now usable. At the other end of the room from the kitchen is the dining area also with a comfy sofa and TV. So you can all be together in the Kitchen / Dining Room or use the snug Sitting Room with its sofa and chairs and a bigger TV with the Blue Ray player. The TVs have Freeview. Please feel free to read any of our books but we just ask that you replace them.

About the neighborhood
Legend has it that King Arthur had his fortress here and his Castle on the cliffs by Tintagel, about 15 minutes away is one of the great places to visit. Just a couple of miles from our cottage there was a battle fought in the 7th century when the Saxon invaders finally defeated the Celts at a place now called Slaughterbridge: you can visit the Arthurian Centre here and see the battlefield.

Just north of Tintagel is Boscastle, an historic fishing village with a picturesque harbour that suffered flash floods some years ago. It is well worth visiting with good cafes, pubs and shops and a Museum of Witchcraft for the fearless.

Camelford itself has a Leisure Centre with a good size Swimming Pool and there is a park with a children's play ground.
