Farmhouse
Tregray is a beautiful, traditional stone and slate Cornish farmhouse situated in 4 acres of private land. The house is 5 miles inland on the North Cornish coast. If you are looking for somewhere for a great family holiday, or for a short break with friends, with lots to do on the doorstep and an opportunity to get away from it all, look no further! The house has a field, a treehouse with a 30 metre zip wire, a giant 16 foot trampoline set into the ground, some marshland, some woodland, a tree swing, and a stream. There is plenty to explore at Tregray and no need to jump in the car everyday. This is a very peaceful spot where you can curl up on a comfortable sofa in one of the sitting rooms in front of a woodburning stove, sit and eat or relax outside on the terrace, gather around the kitchen table or head off to explore locally. The house is about a fifteen minute drive to some beautiful beaches, (Crackington Haven, Trebarwith Strand, Bossiney) and lots of stunning coastal walks. The picturesque fishing village of Boscastle and market towns of Camelford and Bude are a similar distance away. Port Isaac and Polzeath are about a twenty - twenty-five minute drive. Visit the English Heritage site Tintagel Castle, or the Arthurian Centre, or sign up for surf lessons at Trebarwith, or kayaking or kitesurfing with Outdoor Adventure in Bude. Go riding at Lakefield Equestrian Centre. Scramble up Rough Tor, the highest point in Cornwall or head off to picnic and paddle in the streams on Bomin Moor or Dartmoor. How about an outing to Trethorne or Crealy Adventure Parks, bike riding on the Camel Trail cycle route, a visit to a local National Trust House, or even The Eden Project? There are gardens to visit, and miles of the beautiful South West Coast Path to walk. We have seen dolphins, seals and basking sharks as well as numerous birds and birds of prey, and glorious wild flowers. Even after eighteen years there is still so much that we have not yet managed to do, but would like to! When you need provisions, Tregray is only 2 miles from a village shop and pub. There is a local smokehouse and delicatessen and a farmshop as well as an excellent butcher and pasty shop in Camelford. There are also local supermarkets, a good selection of local restaurants and pubs and even an award winning vineyard, Camel Valley.More

This was an amazing holiday home for our first extended family week in Cornwall. We had two 2 year olds, a 4 year old and 4 adults. The children could not have been happier- particularly in the fantastic garden. They particularly enjoyed the trampoline and zip wire! The location of the house is perfect- close to lots of beautiful beaches. The house came with everything we needed and more. We would highly recommend this house!

Tregray Farmhouse is in a beautifully peaceful location, a haven of tranquility. The house is rustic and full of character. It is well equipped and the books and toy selection for adults and children is brilliant. The beds are really comfortable and all bedrooms have lovely linen, including nice thick curtains. The bathroom is lovely and big, the only thing we'd change is have a shower put in above the bath so that you can stand up to shower. The kitchen has everything you will need and a fantastic large cooker. The garden is huge and wonderful for children, with lots to explore and play on. The only negative being that the outside dining furniture doesn't quite seat enough and is a little tired. We also would've ideally liked some comfy chairs, like loungers, for relaxing in. We really enjoyed Trebarwith Beach, Bossiney Cove, Crackinton Haven, Boscaslte, Port Isaac, The Hidden Valley (excellent for adults and children) and Tintagel brewery (lovely cafe and little play area too) and castle. The house is well located for these. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tregray and were made to feel very welcome by Catherine. Thank you.

We stayed in Tregray on a cold week in November and couldn't have found ourselves in a warmer, more welcoming setting. The furnishings are contemporary yet comfortable and the cottage is very tastefully decorated throughout. The kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped and all the linens are of luxurious quality. The gardens are perfect for a peaceful snooze or an adventurous romp with the kids. It's also close to some of the most beautiful beaches and walking areas of Cornwall. The ideal spot either for a family holiday or for time away with friends

I went to stay at Tregray with Dutch friends of mine for a walking holiday in March, and then went back again in September, with same friends who loved it and wanted to go back. The house is positioned in a rural area, but very close to the coast, pubs and shops. Perfect! The house itself is beautiful, very stylish and comfortable. We loved the beds and linen, and it was very clean. A little gem. And the walks in that area are amazing, beautiful coastline, great pubs and tearooms.

A beautiful, traditional Cornish farmhouse done up in a relaxed contemporary style, this was a perfect retreat for a weekend or week with family and friends who want to enjoy Boscastle and other parts of North Cornwall. With easy access to nearby beaches but in a relatively secluded rural setting, you can enjoy both the countryside and the sea. There is a lovely patio for dining outside and a zip wire and trampoline for the kids.

We have stayed at Tregray for the past two summers - each time for around a month. It's simply a great place to be. Wonderful house, with everything you could need (fab bed-linen, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine/tumble dryer, tvs, wifi etc); and also fabulous garden for both adults and kids. We stayed both times with our 3 children (7,9,11), and also had friends to stay thoughout the period - both with and without children. Tregray is close to a range of fantastic beaches (we particularly love Trebarwith Strand), and loads of places with things to do. The house and garden, however, are full of enough stuff that you don't have to go out every day - if it is raining there are DVDs, traditional games, loads of books - and enough room not to fall over each other. If it's not raining the garden is a joy - treehouse, zipwire, huge trampoline, football pitch, stream to puddle about in, swings from a huge tree, and plenty of den-making opportunity! The owners go out of their way to ensure you know the best places to go - really helpful folder full of recommendations for everything you could think. The guys who come to clean the house are friendly and efficient. The neighbours the same. A real home away from home - and yet so much more stylish than my own home!! Overall we couldn't recommend staying here highly enough.

Tregray is in lovely rural spot but within easy reach of wonderful beaches on that stretch of coastline. There is plenty of space for family and friends to stay in the house after a good day on the beaches of visiting local landmarks/attractions without having to stray far. Be sure to make the most of every day and walking on the coastal paths and then come back for a BBQ or snuggle up in front of the cosy log burner (depending upon the weather!).

A fantastic setting with great amenities, a real must if you want to get away from it all. They have thought of everything with one exception, a stair gate. Coming from a glorified bungalow we did not think of it, and I am being pedantic. The beds are fantastic as is the linen everything you could ever want. We would love to go again and are just working through our diaries for next year. A real must if you can!
