Interaction with guests
We are situated in the farm house on site and are happy to see you into your cottage and be there to answer any questions if needed. We have two children so have a good knowledge of places to visit in the area. Kerry works as the education officer at RSPB Bempton Cliffs and can give you an insight into which birds are visiting us on the cliffs.

About the neighborhood
Buckton is a small village adjoining Bempton Village and just a short drive from Flamborough. Only a few miles from Bridlington you are in the heart of the countryside with the sea and towering chalk cliffs just a walk away. Home to Englands only mainland Gannet colony and many peoples only chance at Puffin spotting, the sea bird colony on the cliffs in season is a spectacle like no other.

The village has a play park, post office and small shop, cafe (Spring - Autumn), art gallery and active church. Bempton Railway Station is walk-able from the cottages.
Getting around
We are perfectly located for trips to Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough, Whitby, Hull and The Wolds. Whilst a car is useful it is not essential as a regular bus service runs by the property. We also have a train station in the adjacent village (20 min walk) which runs up and down the coastline.

From the South
Travelling from the South you may well come up to Bridlington via the A64 and turn off on the A166 towards Driffield. Or you may come up the M62 and the A614 towards Driffield. In either case once you have passed Driffield you will find yourself on the A614 towards Bridlington.
You will go through the small village of Carnaby and will come to a set of lights where you can go straight on to the A165 or turn right on the A165 (also signposted for the Hospital and if you need shopping, Morrisons, is just down here on the right). Go straight ahead at these lights.
Shortly you will come to two roundabouts close together. Go straight on at the first and then get immediately into the left hand lane to go left at the second roundabout onto Marton Road.
