This was our second stay in Fern Cottage. It’s comfortable and well equipped with all we needed. The location is good being only a short distance from the town but also quiet. This is great walking country, whether in the woods and forest or along the riverbank. There are quite a few places to eat to suit all palates. The food in the Mug House is excellent and we liked Ripleys for lunch. The museum has an eating place which is good. It also has a lovely little garden which has a few tables. The Queen Elizabeth Gardens are peaceful and popular. If you like ale then the Bewdley Brewery is the place to go. You can purchase bottles or drink in the tap room. They now have a small marquee as well as socially distanced outdoor seating. Bewdley is a lovely little town.

A lovely find!
A quaint and quirky 3 storey house offering all we needed for our break to this area - the husbands went fishing and us wives went sightseeing and shopping! It was well placed, well equipped and the beds were comfortable (important to me)! There's plenty of local eateries to try in the evening, too - even during these Covid restricted times. Sadly, the weather was too cool to take advantage of the courtyard garden, but it would be nice in the summer. If we were to be very picky, the ONLY thing missing in the house was a full length mirror!

A wonderful four night stay
. The cottage was spotless with everything we needed. Great location In the town with all amenities close by; yet turn right on the path past the cottage door and you are on the circular Ribbesford Walk. Sunny weather so we ate on the patio. Did a number of walks. Riverside Cafe at Arley served a very welcome cream tea on our walk along the river to Arley and back.. Did a lovely walk following Dowles Brook into the Wyre Forest and saw a kingfisher dazzling in the sunlight . We shall return.

Mr
Clean, well equipped and very well located accommodation. When we stayed the king was two single mattresses. Not a big issue for us, but others may want to check.
Bewdley is a lovely small town and in our experience pandemic rules were well adhered to. Lots to see and do in the area. Our highlights with a preschooler were the safari park, severn valley railway, and wyre forest.

Lovely cottage
Having stayed at Fern View bungalow in previous years I swapped to this delightful cottage as only my son had I came for a break and fishing in a delightful area of the country.
Jenny the owner couldn’t have been more helpful and everything was spot on in the cottage.
Will be going back again soon as it is the best accommodation we have stayed in.

Cute cottage in the heart of Bewdley
We stayed over christmas and new year, needing a base to visit family spread around nearby towns. I'd not visited Bewdley before and was pleased to find it is a nice little town with a surprisingly good range of little shops. The cottage is well appointed, cosy and warm, the washer and tumble dryer means no need to pack for the whole ten days. The little courtyard provides a nice little nook that had it not been the middle of winter would have seen a lot more use by us. Pleasingly, the twin bedroom downstairs was a good size, (we have booked cottages before only to find that the 'twin room' wasn't really) so very pleased with this one. Booking was quick, pick up of keys was easy, very nice after a 10 hour drive to just be able to go straight in. Would definitely book again. Thanks

Very satisfactory
Very centrally located - everything within walking distance. Only space for one car, but didn't have to drive too far to find somewhere to leave the other one. (Further up Park Lane and left into Snuff Mill Walk.)
The house was warm, clean and well decorated. Beds were comfortable, showers satisfactory. Didn't do any cooking so can't comment on the kitchen facilities, though I suspect they would be fine.
Didn't meet the owner but all queries pre-arrival were answered promptly.
Would certainly recommend it and would use it again.
Bewdley's a lovely place, with plenty of places to eat and drink. The museum is brilliant. A trip on the Severn Valley Railway to Bridgnorth is also a great day out.

Loved staying at this cottage
This cottage was rated four star and we could not think of what more could be done to make it five star. My wife loved the fact that it had three levels. The owner rang to see if all was ok and then came and had a coffee with us. We come over from Australia every year (this being our twelfth trip) and stay in four cottages around the UK and so often never meet the people who offer these lovely places. Would definitely stay there there again if we were anywhere near that area.

Fantastic and convenient place to stay
The accommodation was very comfortable and convenient to all the local amenities.
The cooking and all other facilities in the cottage were excellent and I cannot think of anything that needs improving.
From the cottage there were easy, as short or as long as you like, walks along the severn river without having to get in a car. There are also a number of good pubs in Bewdley and there are several places to buy provisions for self catering.
This cottage is an excellent place to stay if you are looking for an easy self catering holiday with access to some good pubs.

Fabulous Cottage!
Our week at Fern Cottage was perfect! The location is just a few steps from the center of town with lots of great pubs/restaurants and shops. The property was meticulously clean and had all the necessary amenities. We would definitely stay here again.
