Ilkley town centre is indeed only 10 minutes walk down the hill from us. Allow a bit longer coming back up - or grab a taxi!

About the neighborhood
Ilkley Moor is Yorkshires most famous location! Your cottage is situated on the very edge of both Ilkley spa town and Ilkley Moor. You are literally on the Moor as soon as you walk across the cattle grid at the entrance gates! Whilst there is little traffic other than the odd passing sheep, deer or pheasant, youre not going to find yourself in the middle of nowhere staying here. Its a rural location with Ilkley itself just ten minutes stroll down through the woods. All the key places - town and country - that you might want to get to are within easy reach (by road or by rail). As a base for sight-seeing in Yorkshire and The Dales, its hard to beat! The majority of the major sights (such as York) are within an hour by car, Dales Bus or train, and a large number, such as Bolton Abbey, Ski...
Getting around
Excellent local rail services. Subsidised bus network to all key places not served by rail.
