The home sits on nearly 200 acres consisting of farmed fields, grazing pasture for cattle, and forested areas bordering the property. The farmhouse has been lovingly renovated, modernized, and furnished with mixed period antiques and current day style, yet keeping with the character of a farmhouse built in the 19th century. Our farmhouse has two stories for your use, consisting of 5 bedrooms (one queen, three full size beds upstairs and 1 twin bed and 1 sofa bed downstairs. There are 3 full size bathrooms (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs) with all towels and linens supplied. It has a modern kitchen equipped with all appliances and cookware. A dining room, living room, parlor, sitting room, and sun room with 2 tables and seating for 10 are available for your use. There is a large front porch with ample seating and a swing to allow for relaxed conversation outside. Modern conveniences are provided such as Wi-Fi, Direct TV, DVD players, and cell phone coverage is available in most places on the farm. About the neighborhood
There are many local attractions to enjoy in the area, with boating, fishing, and water skiing available at nearby Curwensville Lake (15 minute drive) and Prince Gallitzin State Park (30 minutes). The West Branch of the Susquehanna River is often used for kayaking and canoeing and hiking and biking trails are available nearby. Rock Run Recreation Park in Patton, Pa is a 25 minute drive. We do have an Amish community in the area.
How to get there
We are 30 minutes from I-80 (Clearfield exit) and 40 minutes from I-99 (Tyrone exit). Altoona, State College, Indiana , Johnstown and Dubois are 45 minutes to 1 hr away. Pittsburgh is 2 hrs and Lancaster 3 hrs away. New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC are 5 hrs away.
