A garden setting and a porch swing are the best way to unwind from a long day of sightseeing and shopping. The air conditioned suite has a living area with cable TV, DVD player and WI-FI, a kitchenette with all dishes and necessities as well as a fridge and microwave. The bedroom area has dressers and closets for storage and a comfy Beautyrest full-size bed equipped with lots of fluffy pillows. The Sellwood neighborhood is one of the safest walking neighborhoods in the Portland area. Walk to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, library, parks, the Willamette River. Bike rentals are nearby. No need for a car but there is a space reserved if you choose to bring one. Public transit is only a block away and light rail a few more blocks. Both will get you to any part of Portland metro area. Sellwood/Moreland ranks #27 most walkable neighborhood of 89 Portland neighborhoods. This neighborhood is Very Walkable. Sellwood/Moreland has 11,428 people—or 2% of Portland's population. Our location in Sellwood rates an 87 with the bike trail only blocks away and shopping, food carts, restaurants within a few short blocks. I counted 8 within one block recently. ASK US.. The laundry facilities are for guest's use only. Excessive use will result in additional charges. We do have a pet named Suzie Q who is an 8 lb Bichon and she loves to be loved. We also know when you are not interested in her attention. Travel Insurance is recommended to insure that you will receive a full refund should you have to cancel at the last minute. We can accommodate pets under 15 lbs with an additional fee. This is a studio suite in the basement of the 1910 house with a separate entrance so you maintain your privacy.

Just know that the basement has very low ceilings--if you are over five foot seven, you will be ducking a lot. We loved the hot tub, and the location--it is great for walkers, bikers and restaurants. We liked the price. Just know that it is...More
