This gorgeous private suite is located in the trees above downtown Portland with all the amenities of a luxury hotel and none of the negatives. The cozy fireplace and large sitting room add to the ambiance and the neighborhood is one of the best in Portland. There is free street parking and it is located in easy walking distance to both downtown and the famed Pearl district and Northwest 23rd, with a plethora of world class restaurants and shopping.
An amazing deck with heaters and ample seating is available weather permitting. The small efficient kitchenette is stocked with teas and coffee for your enjoyment.

I can say it in one word...PERFECTION!
The space was beautifully designed, very clean, organized and well put together. The sleeping space had a great view, the living area had a great view and the upstairs deck had an absolutely knock-out view. The home was in an incredibly beautiful wooded location, but so convenient to town, shopping and other Portland amenities. Vicki was a great host and we would love to stay again!

Great location with great view
We chose this booking for a girlfriend trip because of the deck and the view and they did not disappoint. It was very clean with a lot of art work in the apartment. There is an elevator to get between floors. A great restaurant around the block. Vicki was great to work with. She checked in but respected our privacy. We would definitely stay there again. And we would definitely invite Vicki to join us on the deck again - she was interesting and funny. We love her!

Very disappointed with location
We picked this rental based on the description saying it was “located in easy walking distance to both downtown and the famed Pearl district and Northwest 23rd with a plethora of world class restaurants and shopping”.
It is located in one of the highest elevations of the city so it certainly isn’t an “easy” walk because of the steep inclines, it was also about 1 1/2 miles to the “plethora of restaurants”. We ended up having to rent a car to be able to get around instead of the easy walks we anticipated.

Very interesting. I am 70 years old and i walk there a lot. I guess it really depends on your condition. The location doesn't say it's downtown and I do say it's on top of the hill which is why it has the phenomenal views. I often walk down and Uber back or if it's a nice day i walk back up. I guess it shows you can't please everybody. There is a Google map available to check out the location. I'm, sorry you were disappointed.

Lovely Stay
Our stay was wonderful!! The space is lovely, private, and clean. We loved the bedroom with the fireplace, and also enjoyed the deck on the 3rd floor - I would imagine it's incredible in the summer too. Vicki was nice and easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay again when we're back in Portland.

Perfect place to stay!
This was the perfect place to stay for a girls’ trip over MLK weekend to celebrate 2 birthdays! The suite easily accommodated 4 adults and had everything you could possibly need during your stay! Vicki was sweet and gave us great recommendations to check out near Multonomah Falls. The home is located in a beautiful and safe neighborhood up the hill. It is a 10-15 minute walk down the hill to the different neighborhoods of Portland where the elephant’s delicatessen and the original Salt & Straw are. There is a gorgeous view of Portland from the deck. The suite itself is beautifully decorated and super cozy!! We all absolutely fell in love with it!! It is also super cool that there is an elevator to bring you down to your suite. I highly recommend this place and will definitely re-book for a summer trip back to Portland.

Portland's Best Kept Secret
Staying in this guest room was far better than staying in a premier hotel. It is much more affordable. It is so quiet and private and comfortable. It is so very beautiful and romantic. And it is in an ideal location for a weekend away. This is the place to stay. We would definitely stay again.

Quaint, Quirky, Artsy and well worth a stay!
Wonderful hosts and location. The tile in the bathroom is gorgeous. All the furniture and art everywhere was beautiful. There is an art table in the space, with markers, and for us...that was entertainment in itself...
Close to some great breweries, restaurants, and Portland goings on.
Way better than a stay in an airport hotel. Super comfy bed.

Perfect Portland Apartment
My husband and I stayed at Vicki's Place for the nights recently and enjoyed it immensely. The apartment is very attractive, very clean and very spacious . Lovely views out across Portland from a beautiful neighbourhood up in the hillside. A little walkway takes you down the hill to a great little Italian bistro which quickly became "our local". Vicki is vivacious, friendly and very helpful. Her lovely balcony was the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Everything you need is provided - just turn up and enjoy!

A Magical Treehouse above the Bustling City
Vicki’s place is like something out of a steampunky Victorian novel: ride a gated elevator down into the hillside (sort of like the elevator that takes you into Disney’s haunted mansion, if ancient memory serves.) Then open the elevator gate directly into your secret, tranquil hideaway where every window looks through majestic pines and down over the city below. Visual interest in every corner, Vicki has lovingly appointed this space with glass, iron, ceramics, art, and soothing color. Everything guests could possibly need is available and maps and recommendations for enjoying Portland are waiting for you in this wonderful living space. The bedroom has a switch-controlled fireplace where you could easily languish away the day with a good book and a cup of coffee (or wine.) A great place to enjoy alone or with loved ones. It is truly enchanting.

What a Gem!
Beautifully appointed getaway spot. Quick uber to everything. Relaxing and artistic atmosphere. Hosts were awesome. Check in was a breeze. Staying here brought out the creative juices. Artwork was interesting. Really cool dishes. Delicious coffee.

Located in Portland Heights with everything you could possibly want located minutes away, this location has been described as perfect by many visitors. There is a cozy neighborhood restaurant a block away and 2 upscale grocery stores within easy walking distance. There is ample street parking and a bus stop across the street.

How to get there
If you are driving in to downtown from the airport follow the signs to 1-84 west and then when you are on the freeway follow the signs to I-405 S. BUT when you are on the lower level of the double decker bridge (marquam) stay in your FAR LEFT lane and go past the 4th street exit, the 6th street exit towards Beaverton but TAKE the 12th street exit. At the ramp take an IMMEDIATE left crossing over a v shaped lane marking. That is Montgomery street. Go THROUGH THE NEXT STOP LIGHT and turn left immediatly past the stop light on to 14th ave. Go 2 blocks until you MUST turn and go right. You will go up hill around a hairpin turn and just keep going until you come to the one and only stop sign on ELIZABETH street. TURN RIGHT and go about 3 or 4 blocks UNTil the road TURNS. my house is BEFORE the road turns. It is a little brick house on the right hand side . 1929 SW Elizabeth street.<BR>
