House Rental
Exquisite two story home furnished with for your comfort and enjoyment. Open kitchen and floor plan on the main floor. Comfortable beds, lush linens, and a kitchen stocked for your cooking enjoyment. Exceptional views of the Wallowa Mountains and the valley. Property is private but is only two miles from Joseph. We have horse facilities available if you wish to bring your horse and ride on the farm, on the rural back roads, or on the nearby mountain trails.

Please respect the house and property. Pet charge of $50 per pet. Please never leave your pet unattended in the home. We are required to collect .09% tax County/State. We charge $15 for each additional guest over the number originally booked.

Beware of being scammed by this host!
I called to inquire about extra person charges. The host, Kathleen, had us send her a venmo payment directly – presumably to avoid paying commission on the sites she’s using to promote her property. She actually charged more than the expedia listing, when I mentioned that she texted back that expedia always gets it wrong.
We arrived after a long road trip and met Kathleen’s husband (he never introduced himself so I don’t know his name), who told us to look for another place because they hadn’t received payment. I had been out of cell range all day which was the reason for the delay, which I explained.
He was extremely unwelcoming and gave us information about the arrangements (which looked nothing like the picture), which contradicted what Kathleen told us and which we paid for. He's an older man and was clearly confused.
I paid immediately for the first night and all associated fees, which Kathleen promptly accepted (but never actually came out to communicate), then sent her husband out to tell us we should look for another place, and that Kathleen would refund my money. Of course, after several rational, clear requests, that never happened.
I've reported her to several consumer agencies - this is a scam she’s been running using loopholes like this to attract callers who then have no recourse through venmo or booking sites.
Funnily enough, on her response so another complaint left on another site, she replied "we're never rude". I would add to that, unless they think they can get away with it. Sad.
