Sunset Cabin sits on our beautiful, secluded mountain, half a mile off highway 259 in southeast Oklahoma. Sunset Cabin is a great place to come play or to come relax. Sunset Cabin has two bedrooms and a bath. There is a fireplace in the living room. Two set of sliding glass doors lead out to a deck twenty feet off the ground. Visible from deck and living space is a gorgeous view of the mountains of SE Oklahoma. Sunsets from this deck are fabulous. There is a cushy Queen-sized bed in each bedroom with a two inch memory foam topper. The kitchen is fully equipped; stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, pots and pans. Yes, there is central heat and air. There is a hooded charcoal grill. Bring your own charcoal and lighter. Other activities available nearby; horseback riding, 10 minutes; scenic drive, 15 minutes; canoeing and kayaking, 50 minutes. Incredible seclusion and peace! Nature; all its charms and curiosities at hand Wildlife; deer, foxes, squirrels, chipmunks, and even bear, available, but not guaranteed. Discover Channel's BigFootVille; yes, that was taken from our cabins! Bigfoot sightings, also not guaranteed. Come relax! Come play! Either way, Peckerwood Knob Cabins is your best choice! It was a nice little place. There was a bit more noise outside on Saturday than I would have liked (someone was shooting a lot, then loudly talking) but there's limits to what the owner can do. The view was nice. Being without the internet - not so much. The little welcome baskets were nice.

What a wonderful beautiful place.
We loved the cabin and loved all the special touches the owner adds to the cabin to make our stay so enjoyable, We will definitely be back. Who knew Oklahoma was so beautiful.

this is the one you want
We stayed in the "sunset cabin"..Cabin looked like it was built six months ago. Condition was excellent. It is quiet and off the main highway. Cabin is an hour away from Wal-Mart so make sure you bring your own supplies. Cookware is provided, along with plenty of blankets and towels. Like almost all the other reviews say..we too, plan to come back

Great place to get away from it all.
The cabin was clean, had lots of cut wood for the fireplace, the decor was just as expected. The site was very peaceful to get away from the fast pace rush. On clear days the view was beautiful from the deck. There was great trails to explore. The location was close to lakes for fishing and there were other amminities available but we did not use them. There was plenty of dishes as we cooked and baked most of our meals. The family was great and offered assistance if needed.

Beautiful, peaceful, secluded cabin
My husband and I stayed at the Sunset cabin for our anniversary and it was wonderful!! The cabin was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable.....a perfect home away from home. We loved the privacy of the cabin as well. The deck was fabulous! We spent a lot of time on the deck relaxing and taking in the beautiful scenery. We'll definitely be going back!

The perfect get-away for rest and relaxation!
We stayed at the "Sunset" cabin during Spring break and loved, loved, loved it! The view was amazing and the cabin roomy and so peaceful! Every morning my husband and I looked forward to drinking our coffee out on the deck that overlooked the mountains. The cabin is gorgeous! The owners did an amazing job of designing and decorating the cabin. It truly seems right out of an Interior Design magazine!!! Plus all the comforts of home: soft sheets on the bed, full size luxury towels and washcloths in the bathroom, throw blankets, kitchen with stone wear dishes...they even provided coffee, filters and sugar just in case you didn't bring your own!!! The owners were the perfect hosts- so friendly and down to earth. Even down to lending our 6 year old some Legos to play with. They made our stay so comfortable!!! We look forward to coming back...maybe even for Christmas!!!

Peckerwood Knob's Sunset Cabin is located one half mile off Highway 259 in southeast Oklahoma. We are fifteen miles north of Smithville, Oklahoma. It is a four hour drive to Dallas, and also to OKC. Hope to see you soon!
